Well, Good Morning All.
I just got back from Roger's Welding Shop with some "Electric Arc" coffee.
Roger is a connoisseur of fine caffeine and knows how important an arc is for good flavor!

50 Heits this AM. Sprinklers are sprinkling and - wait a minute - no, nothing growing yet.
Looks like a good day to finish a workshop project with some paint/powder and get ready for the next thing.
The weather has been a lot kinder these last weeks - thank heaven. I've still got cleanup left to do.

Shopping is on the menu today also.
As Ray sez; "Some'at" Yeah - I need to get that and some of the other too.
This kind of weather is best for stews and casserole's.

What's happening in yer world?

Y'all have a wonnnafill day!

Oh look - pancakes! Get you some...

Oh, arc eye coffee, hit me. Not with the arc eye, just the coffee.
If you've never had arc eye imagine a red hot poker being pushed in your eye, it's worse than that.
We awaken to calm, bright and mild conditions. Very civilised. It should allow the delivery of Er'Indoors new 4 wheeled contrivance battery without issue. I ordered it yesterday from Tanya Batteries and they say it will here by noon. Nice.
It was going to be a non descript jobbie for £55 but they had a Bosch for £60 delivered. She's worth it. I expected to pay a lot more, the last battery I bought for the BeaST was more than that. I spose I better put it on the Optimate for a day or so. Some'ats again. Pffffffftttttt.
Av a gud un and remember, sometimes the Belgiums know what they're talking about. Sometimes.

Thx Nick!
For some reason I came to think of Joan.
Had an very early doctors appointment today, so I’m rather exhausted.

Cooking, picking up Mrs Stu from work.
Trying to get hold of our internet provider, they charge me for a 500/500 line, but delivers only 300/300 mbps.
Crooks, let’s flog them.
Where’s the belgians when you need them?

12˚c/54f, showers, 30mph wind.

Have a good one!
Stu

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Nick. Welding rods as stir sticks. You think of everything!

5C and still dark for the spirited ride into work. Yes, I was 15 minutes late leaving the house, but only 5 minutes late for work. We'll see 16C and sun for the high.

Our provincial (think state) election wrapped up last evening, and after 6 years of being blue (Conservative party) the province has switched to red (Liberal party.) They took 31 of the 49 seats. We also have our first ever female premier (think govenor.) We'll have to see what happens next as all the cabinet minsters will likely shuffle, and money will start being spent that people will rejoice about, although just swapping leaders and parties didn't give us any more money that we were short before... it's all got to come from somewhere.... yup, taxes.

Still, change can be a good thing. That's what they'll say when they tax us the remaining change in our pockets. :)

Hope you all still have a good day until they tax that too.

Enjoy!

Obo.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee, Nick! I'm not entirely sold on the distinctly metallic taste, but it's certainly sparking me to life.

It's yet another in this string of glorious Indian Summer days in Montreal. Sunshine with a few clouds, temps ranging from 10°C/50°F (feeling like 8°/46°F) to 22°C/72°F with a humidex of 24°C/75°F. If the forecast is correct, we'll have one more day like this tomorrow, and then everything goes pear shaped. Temps will drop dramatically, to seasonal values or below, and higher elevations might even get some early snow by Friday. Oh, well, all good things must come to an end. Guess I'd better get those winter tires put on.

And speaking of Belgians, I'm feeling a little phlegmish this morning; hope I'm not coming down with something.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee, Nick. It’s so good, it’s shocking.

Another gorgeous day in store. 40/80 and nothing but sun. After installing the new headlight assemblies on the SUV yesterday, I realized the rest of the vehicle needs some love, too. So, after a grocery run this morning, I’m going to wash all 3 vehicles while I have this beautiful weather. A foam cannon on a pressure washer makes it quick and easy. Might even give the dog a bath while I’m at it.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Nick

It's 46 and sunny, rising to 79, later.
It's going to be a nice day, again.

My plans for yesterday didn't materialize, after our contractor visited with the insulation guy.
He gave Brenda and I a list of things that need to be decided on in the near future, so we were off to building supply places to view samples and make decisions.
Kitchen flooring, paint colors, siding, drawer and cabinet pulls... OW! My head!
Brenda's in heaven, choosing her/our kitchen, though, so it's all good.

Today, I'll rest at the track in Thompson for the Club event.
I've got next month's schedule from the coordinator, so I'd better get back to him with my availability, too.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning all!
Thanks for the arc eye start Nick!
I'm agreeing with Ray, that’s something I hope I never have to endure again!
She’s leaving me to my own defences this morning, I’ll join her in Woodstock tomorrow night.
I’m still cleaning up & storing items from our hunt.
Below is one of the areas we hunt.

Have a great day.

Good day everyone

Thanks for the morning jolt, Nick.

It's nearing 1700 hours in Sorrento. We'll nip out to the pizza joint next to our hotel in a bit, then have a ramble to promote digestion.

Took the big boat to Capri, and had an enjoyable smaller boat partway around before heading up the island. Capri holds no fascination for me: too many tourists and little other than very expensive shops to separate them from their money as efficiently as possible.

I tried to load an article that expresses the new ordinance in New Zealand that hugs are limited to 3 minutes at the airport but it didn't load.
Just google New Zealand hugs ordinance and you'll find it.

hugs

Dave
I saw it already Dave, 3 minutes!
That's not a hug, it's either you know what or sexual assault.
3 minutes!

Morning Nick & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 42F, up from 34F and heading to 72F. No breeze yet, but later, the winds will pick up, coming from the SW @ 8 to 9mph.

Hey @Obo, hope things don't become Kaliforniastanish! :unsure-2x:

For the shed foundation, I was able to get the basics done (landscaping blocks around the edge and ready for more gravel, which I'll be doing today, filling it up with gravel and some sand. The concrete will then go on top of that. So if I can finish that part of the foundation, I can start the concrete this afternoon or tomorrow.

Chris is having a blast with her friends at the Quilt Retreat. And I'm too busy with the shed to go out and play! :well1:

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! Clear with blue skies and the sun slowly getting out of bed this morning. It's 8C with a predicted high of 11C. It was a bit chilly on the ride in but being back on the bike removed any frown.

Arc eye, reminds me of a guy I used to work with landscaping. He decided to weld with just a pair of sunglasses and learned the hard way that's not a good idea. Haven't thought of that guy for ages, one from the arc eyeves for sure.

The New Zealand hug rule. Apparently, it's an airport in Dunedin in the South Island. I've been to Dunedin and have a hard time believing that they have that much traffic that a four minute hug would bung things up. Though, I will concede my time in Dunedin was a while back so maybe things have changed.

Hope everyone has a great day and remember to limit the PDA's!
