Ay up, ow at ya big bunch of losers. The Italian Dark Roast is ready and quite splendiferous.
27 to 41, dry, sunny and still. There's a thick frost out there and Er'Indoors has braved it and is away to Berwick-upon-the-Tweed for jumpy up and down. Er motor passed it's inspection test, which is a good thing.
I took the opportunity to empty the contents of a stone chip can on the underside whilst it was airborne.
Today will also include paint but not of the automotive kind, more ya white matt emulsion type. Pffffffftttttt.
The weather made me dream about eating eggs in some remote recently smartened up warm riviera. I couldn't figure out if it was a dream or a nightmare. I can report our eggs are plentiful, cheap and delicious. As for our riviera's, not so plentiful and deliciously warm at the moment, but this shall pass. Maybe.
According to some tosser on the gogglebox last night it's been the warmest January ever globally recorded. I beg to differ and I suspect some North Americans might too. Pffffffftttttt.
Av a gud un and remember, keep ya sunnyside up'ards.
Upt.

"Congratulations, you made it out of bed..."

Sugar, glucose syrup, instant coffee (11%), palm kernel oil, soluble fibre, skimmed MILK powder (0.7%), MILK protein, salt, stabilisers (E331, E452), lactose (MILK), acidity regulator (E340), emulsifiers (E471, E472e), natural flavourings, MILK fat, colour (E101)...
Add hot water. There's no need to boil the water fully - it just needs to be hot! Conserve some energy while you enjoy your NESCAFÉ®.

1°/6°C, mostly cloudy, 72% rlh, wind north 19kph, 1035 mbar, UV low...

Sarcasm? Remarks about the weather? ... beware, some superior beings disgruntle easily...

So if you intend to enjoy your weekend, do it in secrecy...

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the cup, Ray. Splendiferous? I agree. Pretty damn tasty.

It’s way too early, but I got in 8 hours of sleep, so who cares if it’s still dark? It’s just time. It dark, blowy, and 44 at the moment. Doesn’t get much better, as the day goes on, only reaching 51, or so, cloudy and blowy lasting all day.

@ST1100Y Sarcasm? Here? Surely you jest.

I got rid of the stitches in my arse yesterday and the Doc cleared me to drive. I don’t have a clue where I’m going today, but you can bet the farm, it’ll be somewhere for a good hot lunch. Our household chef has really been slacking for the last two weeks, claiming medical issues, so today Teddy and I will be searching for culinary delights……probably pizza or Chinese……maybe both.

Hi Y'all. Thanks to the English for the Italian roast, Austria for the Vienna sausages, and Tennessee for the J-D.

Now THAT'S a breakfast.

Floating around freezing all day, so snow blowing is in my future. We got dumped on yesterday and last night's commute home from work at 9:30 was a mess. The Mrs. & I are off today as a result.

Hope everyone has a super day!

Obo.

Thank you Ray. It's cloudy and 58°, going to remain. cloudy and may see 68°. The Cherokee AC has been repaired to the tune of $609.76. Ouch! Ciao.

It was a long time before I ever had a car with AC. My 1st & 2nd cars had those triangle vent windows you could open to blow air inward...

Numbers 3, 4 had no AC. Number 5 (which my parents gave us) had AC, but #6 didn't. 7 onward have all had AC, except for the antique (1987) I bought a few years back.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

It's 33 and cloudy, going to 35.
We'll have some wind today, 20-30mph.

I did some gym, yesterday, shoveled, and went out to dinner, yesterday.

Today, I'll try to hit the local ski hill for a bit.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, all, and thanks for the French Roast, Ray!

After yesterday's snow, we'll enjoy a mix of sun and clouds today, and mildish temps hovering around -4°C/25°F (but with a feels-like of -10°C/14°F). Colder again tonight and tomorrow, more snow on Sunday.

That's all I got, folks. Need...more...coffee. Everyone have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Over here, wieners are hot dogs and kept in the cooler and not in a can,
Well, for now this topic seems to be dull enough to not set off some... again...
Frankfurters were first manufactured 1805 in the 7th Vienna district by a butcher named Johann Georg Lahner (1771 to 1875) who immigrated from Frankfurt.
Hence the name...
What distinguishes Wiener from Frankfurter?
According to the "system of culinary art" published in 1886, do "Wiener sausages" primarily consist of lean beef, to which a little "Sausage lard" is added.

In contrast, “Frankfurt sausages” primarily contain lean pork, to which some veal or beef is added.
A maximum 1:100 ration of potato starch to sausage mass is permitted. (Manufacturing guidelines according to the Austrian food book).
The seasoning is based on salt, white pepper, some nutmeg and - at least in the east of Austria - a little garlic.

But in the end is a sausage just a ground up animal carcass filled into its own intestines... <darn did it again... here comes the inquisition>

A second day's coffee chat riddled with sausages, frankfurters, weiners, hot dogs, etc.??? Y'all are startin' to speak my language! I mean the eatin' kind! I mean...oh nm.

35F/2C when the Prince of Purrsia decided it was playtime. Being a Friday, I was eager enough to get the day started so I can clock-in and clock-out early. Thanks for the hot joe and snacks!

Expected to be a nice day out, and I've been tempted to track down a low-rpm stumble/miss I've had for a long time but never really bothered with until recently when crawling along in traffic. Makes for an unsmooth ride whilst amongst the cages. But that will mean pulling the carbs off which I've never had to do on this bike since I bought it...12 years ago. Which means I WILL find other things wrong to fix/replace/kludge. Which means spending $$ and waiting for parts...I may just live with the bucking like I have. Ugh. Oh, and I've started to occasionally smell coolant...:censored:! Which also means pulling the carbs. :censored:! I think I'll pull out my own snake...er, borescope...and have a look around under there and in the cylinders first before going all-in.

The "experts" say we're supposed to get more rain/snow over the wknd and then more next week...I sure wish they'd make up their mind! I'd prefer the snow so I can sell more snowblowers. Rainblowers just don't sell well here, dunno why? Anyways, have a good day and take care y'all!

Morning all! Overcast and 0C/-3C here. A splendiferous 2C will be the high along with bits of sun here and there.

I still seem to be fighting the remnants of Covid even though I tested negative the other day; I have a nasty cough that isn't full time but seems to choose the most awkward moments to erupt into, what must appear from the outside, my lungs attempting a prison break and heading for the Mexican border. I've been wearing a mask when I go out just in case of said eruption but still get the odd three headed look from others when it does occur.

Hope everyone has a great day!
