Au up me water fowl buddies. The Dark Italian Roast and Fruit Turnover is ready, Greek Yoghurt if you like. If ya don't, meh.
Yesterday got wet when it shouldn't have so the weather is debatable, it'll be some'at for sure but it's definitely getting cooler. But not cold.
Yesterday also disappeared with amazing speed, I hope today slows down a little. Pffffffftttttt. I don't do speed unless it's on or in a motor vehicle, the rest of my life should be slow.
Av a gud un and remember, oil doesn't change itself.
Upt.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the Italian roast, turnover, and yogurt Ray. Very tasty.

It's 39°F and fairly quiet in Rockville. 61 for a high, 75 percent chance of a dampening later in the day.

The household is not yet stirring to life but another cousin is due between 0600 and 0700 so I'm hanging out on the front porch. I could use a hat, it would help me stay warmer, but they're all in the front closet, which makes a horrible screech when opened or closed. In compensation I've fortified my coffee with Irish cream, and I'm enjoying hearing an owl hooting from somewhere in the woods.

Yesterday's rites came off without a hitch, and my parents-in-law are now reunited. Job done, so I presume the crowd will begin dispersing today.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Thx Ray!
Breakfast efforts mucho appreciated !

Fathers day over here…..
Mrs Stu is spending it with her father.
It’s his last fathers day, like the five past years.

My daughter, sil and Peter is coming over to me for a brief visit.
I’ll be on my bicycle later, to help lifting fil from his wheel chair into the car.

Been on an early walk.
Very peaceful.

10˚c/50f, calm, showers.

Have a good one!
Stu

G'Day...

woke up shortly before dawn by a cramp in my calf... damn...
The scuba diver trick by grabbing your toes (fin) while stretching the leg cured that within seconds... seems the mixture is off...
while the Nespresso maker was preheating I gulped down a glass of water with an isotonic effervescent tablet... <burb!>
We slurp those daily on motorcycle tours, but apparently lack the discipline in everyday life... should consume such supplement at least weekly...

GF slept in till past 0830hrs... females can do that, their like cats, sleeping up to 20 hours a day... staggering down the stairs she did look a tad feral...
Fed her some coffee, she's firing on all cylinders now...

1°C, low ceiling, the high fog covering all in a dirty white shade... unpleasant... not even the neighbor is out with his Xmas decorations...
GF is rummaging in the basement, putting the summer back into storage... all decorations and add-ons go down there...
Of course she got distracted and is now trapped in a "clean out rut"... won't see her for a while... ;)

The bread-maker is on, the whole place smells like a bakery...
Emptied the dishwasher, the silicone vessels for the air-fryer will have a premier... pork fillet wrapped in bacon... gonna be a lucullic feast...

Afternoon in the shed, a bit reorganizing (still a mess after having to move in there on short notice), tidying up the tool racks, etc...

have a relaxed Sunday everyone...

cheers!

good morning all. thanks for the coffee and turnovers Ray. 46F on the dog walk this morning with a clear sky and slight breeze to make the stars stand out nice and bright. not sure what's going to happen today as wife is headed to Coolidge early this morning for dog training and I'm staying home to work around the garage. our high temp should see 80F.

well enjoy the day

stay safe

Good Morning all!
Welcome to Sunday with a feast!
We've got Ray's turnovers, Martin's bread and Keith's pizza! Outstanding!
I'll have some of this, and that, and that! Ahhhh!
Hmmm, I just have to nap after having all of that!

Yesterday we went to a wedding - one of our friend's daughter was married.
What an excellent time! Another friend did the ceremony with aplomb.
We wish them both love and happiness.
Lots of folks and lots of food and cake (so much for dietary control).

After the ceremonies, I was beat and flopped into bed.
My lovely wife, on the other hand was up late jawing and carousing with her friends.
Today of course will be the formal debriefing.

mmm, anymore goodies left? Y'all have a winderfilled day!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and fruity pastriness, Ray!

I think I have time for one more cup before setting out to meet my fellow hikers in one of our lovely provincial parks. It's a designated conservation area on a small mountain (Mont Saint-Bruno) with 27 km of trails. I very much doubt we'll be hiking all 27 km (at least, I hope not), but we'll probably complete 8 to 10. I'll have to layer up, as it's a little nippy out there.

We should see a mix of sun and clouds for the 2 or so hours we'll be out on the trails. The current temp is 4°C/39°F with a feels-like of 2°C/36°F and once again, the high of 50°C/10°F won't be achieved until we've all gone home.

Right, better get my apple and trail mix ready and make sure I have my park pass handy. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Mornin’ y’all. Thanks for the coffee and pastry, Ray. What was it I was supposed to get done, yesterday.

60/70 with off and on rain for total of 1” expected. Yesterday’s showers helped, but the ground still isn’t saturated.

After peeling 2 bushels of apples and getting a dehydrator, I’ve found that I can’t eat the delicious (pun intended) apples. Yesterday, after eating just 4 apple rings, I started feeling dizzy and shaky (more than usual) and my blood sugar was 220. All this time, I thought dried apples were healthy, when they’re just concentrated sugar. Almost as bad as a Snickers bar.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee and turnovers, Ray.

It's sunny and 31 in MA this morning, rising to 58, later.
It'll cloud up, and we'll maybe see some rain, tonight.
TV weather predicts about .25".

Yesterday, we visited Lowe's and checked out their shower door offerings, as well as lighting and such. It's a larger store than our local Home Depot, so it took us a while to find things.

I don't know what we've got planned for today.
Brenda never got to the shoe store, so that may be on her list of things to do.
We need to do laundry, as well
Dinner at our favorite Chinese place, of course.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Morning all! Grey, overcast, wet and 9C. Rain and a high of 11C to come.

Went sofa and bar stool (but counter height not bar height, figure that one out) shopping yesterday. No purchases were made but ye gods the prices were high enough to mandate they have automatic defibrillators available every 10 feet or so. My suggestion that I get busy in the garage with my chop saw, wood glue, nailer, and some 2x4's was not well received by the Marital Command Authority.

Not sure what lies in store(s) today but you can bet it will be bloody expensive!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Back in from the cold. Today is Remembrance Sunday in the UK. Whitehall and His Majesty The KIng pictured.

I wasn't at that one, but did attend the service in Cheltenham, as I do every year. I served 33 years and my wife 22 years in the Royal Air Force . raf.gif

Next on the list today is my PCV Medical (Passenger Carrying Vehicle - ie coach/bus) required every year once over 65. I retired just under a year and a half ago, but decided to keep the entitlement on my licence.

Morning Ray & All from COLD & sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 32F, up from 21F and heading for 63F. No breeze at this time, later the winds will be out of the SSW @ 7 to 8mph.

I finished up installing the shed roof panels, and then assembled most of the peak "Sky Light" sections together, all but the last three feet. Chris and I had fun trying to get this 17' section up over the top of the shed, but we did it and I have all but the last three feet to finish up now.

I got a call last night that my nephew and his family are traveling from North Dakota to SoCal, and coming through Cedar City (down I15), so they will be stopping by this afternoon. It will be fun to see them, it's been 8 years since I saw them last.

Boiled eggs, sausage, toast and eggnog. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good morning y'all and thx for the cups of jittery confidence! Finally got some matching fairing panels for my 2000. They need a bit of fixing but with the all-day-long threat of rain here in SoMD, today's a good day to do it. Hope to have the bike together again tonight. I missed out on some primo riding weather bc it was apart to ship the mismatched pieces to trade. Only cost me about $50 total. Much cheaper than repainting.

Take care y'all!

Evening all, and thanks for the coffee Ray.

We're back from the big city after a night away at a hotel full of hockey kids from elementary school. No idea if they can skate but they certainly know how to yell and run up and down the hotel halls most of the evening! Also got to fulfill the purpose of the trip, taking the new car out for a 45min spin to ensure it is indeed the proper choice. That bit was successful. Since Monday is a holiday here, we'll drive up Tuesday after work to do all the the required paperwork and I'll drive the new car home. For those wondering, went with the black automatic.

Was below freezing this morning when we left but the drive home was all sun, albeit in our faces. Currently it's dark and 6C.

We saw snow on the drive up yesterday, so it's likely a good thing I'll have a car. I did manage to get it transferred yesterday to Thing1 and then we headed out of the city right from the DMV.

Hope all those under the weather are on the mend, and those mended, stay that way.

Obo.

I thought of y'all today as I drank my Black Rifle... stifle it already, you KNOW that's also a coffee roaster. Thanks, Ray.

Now it's dinner time, Roz is at the gym so I visited my favorite all- day breakfast place called Metro Diner. Amazing meat-lovers omelets with hash browns that make Zone Waffle House turn blue with envy.

Got oil and filter to change it in the Element, but it drizzle all day. Next time.

Remember there's a difference between people with bad ideas, and bad people with ideas.
