"For today:
- drink your coffee
- stay focused and positive
- don't freak out
- remember: stabbing people is wrong
- are you wearing pants?"

G'Day...

0°/6°C today, gray, dull, slight wind makes it feel way colder...

Nespresso maker is on, fresh hotel toast, self baked corn bread, soft boiled eggs (happy hens), Swiss cheese, assorted sausage cuts...
You know where kitchen counter and fridge are located, go help yourself, I'm wearing pajamas/sweatpants, not a livery...

And shush! Slurp your coffee quickly and keep it down, before "he" comes, judging all and everything that happens here again...

Saturday morning ze GF received a phone call, workplace, she has to come in... like now... (reckon she works in hospital administration...)

Shortly before midnight a COPD patient decided to have a cigarette... in bed... with the supply on... of course things went kaboom... Marvin would have been pleased...
Automatic sprinklers dealt with the issue quick, still: room and equipment devastated, 6 members of the staff treated for smoke inhalation, 30 patients evacuated to other stations...
And this Darvin Awards attendee: in the burn unit... wasting more of our tax money... imbecile...
Not to mention the significant smoke and water damage to the building... will take weeks to fix...

So management, engineering, fire investigators, the station's primary, criminal investigators, officials from the major's office and ministry of health...
a whole entourage had a field-day ("inspection"), on which my GF had to write and distribute the protocol over... great...

however, keep a low profile, "he" is watching... ready to tell, on all of your...

I love a :nuke1:coffee. A nice Austrian breakfast spread too, flippin ink you spoil us. Can we smoke?
It's Grey, continental EU influenced gloom. It may be wet. Pffffffftttttt.
Yesterdays plans of doing some'at disappeared into a haze of afternoon chin waggin with neighbours. Just pop around they said, wine(?) they said, it's gone dark they said.
So today there'll be double some'ats to get on with.
Av a gud un and remember, the smoking areas are outside. Normally.
Ay, Martin me o'd mucka do they still allow smokin inside in Austria/Germany? Doesn't seem that long ago that I walked in a restaurant and I couldn't see through the nicotine cloud. I can't remember what country we were in now.
Upt.

Thx Martin!
Exploding startup!

Got back home at midnight.
It’s cooooold!

-4˚c/25f, sunny, calm, it’ll get warmer in a few hours I hope.

@Upt' North , not remembering what country…that’s how it started for my father.

Have a good one!
Stu

Sad sheriff not keen on travelling north again

Greetings all from somewhere on the Thai Binh River in Vietnam

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

We've had marvelous days in Halong Bay, then motored through and past Haiphong this morning. In the afternoon we were treated to a "water puppet theater" show, to the delight of ourselves as well as the locals. I'll try to post photos once I get them off the camera.

We also quite enjoyed our interactions with said locals, who were engaging and friendly and curious.

It's cooler than I'd like but still better than home so it's all good.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Nay...
Like with driving ICE, eating anything else then plants (I know a number of vegetables that would object), building roads, heating your home or telling the truth in any way... it's frowned upon... denouncing you as a boomer... borderline n@z!... definitely not woke... or so...

Whilst smoking officially prohibited in/near/around/close to any public area/building (there even declared ban miles around any kindergarten or school) so ashtrays in train-stations were nailed shut and hospitals had to "exterminate" any smoking areas in or outside the buildings in the process, have the "junkies" of course established some secret places to continue enjoying that way over 500 year old shaman practice which had grown into part of human culture... staff and patients...

The problem: you'd need to get up and outside for access...

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee Martin.

It's also OK to:
- not drink your coffee
- stay scattered and negative
- freak out
- stabbing people is OK if it's with an EpiPen etc
- not wear pants.

Weather here is snowing, as predicted. It's -13/-18 headed to -7/-14 for a possible high.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
One never ceases to be amazed at other's stupidity, eh?

It's 25f/-4c, going to 32f/0c, later. The 10mph wind will make it feel less.
We have about 3" of snow on the ground, and it'll peter out by noon.

We had a good time at the award dinner, last night, and got to see what those folks really look like without helmets and leathers.
Brenda drove, and we drove home as the started.

Today's task will be to redistribute the snow from my walk and driveway to somewhere more appropriate.
We'll catch dinner at our favorite Chinese place, and maybe watch a bit of the Superbowl.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Morning all! Dark and early here as had to drive my mother in law to the airport. She's headed for sunnier climes to join sister and brother in law in Mexico. It's 1C with a predicted high of 3C and a bit of sun later.

Not sure what the day will look like exactly. Need to get some groceries in and assorted tidying and getting the house ready as my wife may be coming home on Tuesday so have to have it all ready and set up. And a nap.....definitely a nap. In fact right now, sounds good for a nap.

Hope everyone has a great day and remember, in infinite ways, smoking kills!

Another nice Sunday morning sleep-in ruined by the tiny bladders of our princess dogs. Fine. 33F/0.5C here with fog. Tried to rain/snow yesterday but just made everything wet and crummy. Tuesday we're supposed to get more white stuff, then wet stuff, then white, wet, white.... I tell ya, them weathermen got a nice racket going. Thanks for the Joe, yes it does reduce stabbing incidences around here.

Today will be another inside day in my office plinking away at fixing game consoles. Nabbed an old Apple IIe yesterday for $50 that I hope I can get running with just $15 in caps. Oregon Trail here I come!

Probably not going to watch the SB as I've no interest in either team except I hate the Dirty Birds. Might check the score on occasion. I can watch the commercials and halftime online later. I've got better things to do. Take care y'all!

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the exciting startup, Martin.

Cloudy, windy, and 39, feels like 30. High of 43. Can’t complain, except for yesterday’s grocery run. There were no chicken wings, frozen pizzas, brats, and the chip aisle was picked over. Evidently, there’s some sort of ball game today.

Gotta bundle up and get out for a walk. Dr’s orders.

John

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and munchies, Martin. As for the hospital incident...wow. Just wow!! Amazing what "I don't care about anybody else, I want what I want right now," combined with the IQ of a turnip, will accomplish. :(

Yesterday afternoon, I decided it would be advisable to get rid of the significant amount of snow that had already accumulated on my balcony before the gods of February decided to dump any more on it. I'm glad I did, because we got more snow last night. Today looks to be mostly sunny until this afternoon/evening, when more flakes will fall. Not all that much though, I don't think. It is currently -9°C/16°F with a feels-like of -16°C/3°F, and the high will be -6°C/21°F with a windchill of -9°C/16°F.

@ibike2havefun: It all sounds wonderful. A friend of mine just came back from a trip to Vietnam and she described a lot of what she saw, including Halong Bay, as "jaw-droppingly beautiful."

Lots to do today, so I'd best shift. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Indeed milady, indeed...
Over here we say "dumb as a (threshold) board", which has a proven IQ of 2, cause at least it creaks when you step on it...

Morning Martin & All from sunny, but COLD, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 29F, up from 14F and heading for 43F. The temps went down due to the Cold Front passing us last night! :well1: No breeze yet, but later, we'll see the winds from the NNW @ 8 to 10mph.

WOW, Martin, what a way to start the day so early! :nuke1:

Yesterday was a play on the computer day, today, after we get back from church, will be the same. Tomorrow, I'll get back at the 2006 engine.

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) will come later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good morning, thanks for the coffee Martin, question what is a COPD patient? They do sound like they are a stupid breed, as bright as a burned out 2 watt light bulb. Agenda for today, get my stomach unplugged, think I have a wheat intolerantance, wife bought a new cereal, tastes good, had a big bowl, well for last two days stomach has hurt. Doctor has told me I have a restriction between my small intestine and large intestine.
Weather , cold ,sunny later today, high of 3 C by 2 pm . Have a good day. G
