FYI-At some point everyone has wished that Honda installed self cancelling turn signals on the ST1300. ST2 Systems came out with the Turn System which cancels your turn signal after a specified amount of time and/or after detecting the turn has been completed. I felt this product was beneficial, affordably priced and confirmed that it was compatible with my 2006 ST1300 so I purchased and installed it. I found out that after installing this product my 4 way flashers were no longer working, so I reached out to ST2 support and after some correspondences the issue was resolved.
They then came out with the brake module which detects slowing by downloading or releasing the throttle which engages the brake lights. I felt this product was beneficial, affordably priced and confirmed that it was compatible with my 2006 ST1300 so I purchased and installed it. Due to the way that Honda wires the ST1300 (2 sets of brake lights wires-power/signal/ground) the brake module was not a simple install (not as simple as the standard instructions showed), however after many correspondences the issue was resolved.
The latest product is the brake strober which flashes the brake lights whenever the brakes are applied. Since I found this product to be beneficial, affordably priced and compatible with my model I purchased and installed it. Unfortunately the brake strober only flashes when I apply the rear brake so I emailed ST2 support and expected them to reply within 24-48 hours (which was my previous experiences, and what is posted on their website). After 6 emails a few text messages and calls through WhatsApp I finally received an email response, but no support. I replied asking for support and as of today, 3 days later I am still waiting for ST2 support.
I want everyone to know what they may expect if they decide to purchase any of these products. Hopefully YMMV, and in a good way, but I feel that it is important to know not only that the product does and what it's supposed to do, but also when I purchased each of these products they came with a lifetime warranty which appeared to be an added benefit, however a lifetime warranty is of little to no use if the company doesn't stand behind their product and support it within a reasonable amount of time, so you need to understand that this is a possibility.
I happen to like these ST2 products and appreciate the features that they offer, I am just disappointed at how they are handling my latest request for support.
If you decide to purchase any of these products, good luck.

I've seen the struggles other members have gone thru getting full operational functionality back after installing the turn signal canceling module. I didn't know there were problems with their other products. Regardless it put me off putting one on my bike even though I really like the idea and it seems to work really well once sorted.

As far as a strobe module operating only from only one lever input instead of two – I'd see that as a plus. I've got an EMS strobe as a brake light on my bike. It does a great job of keep cars at bay. But sometimes they creep up – closer than normal to avoid the strobe flashing in their face. Who can blame them. So the ability to keep the brake applied without activating the strobe would be a handy feature.

One member here came up with a solution in the wiring (which I haven't got round to yet). This may be a problem unique to the ST. I dunno. Maybe you could change the connection point so it operates off the front brake lever instead of the pedal since most riders use the front brake more. Or which ever you prefer when holding your position at a stop.

Other plus depends on whether AZ or any rider's state allows flashing brake lights. CA does but my strobe is continuous so it's not street legal. I've never been stopped but I trie not to use it when 5-0's nearby. You can see how that might be problematic. So maybe try to see that as a feature not a bug? Hope you get it sorted. Radio silence from Support is never a good thing.

The STS brake module ties into the brake light wiring down circuit from either the front or the rear brake light switch. As such it does not matter which brake is applied.

Very good performance from both modules, which where from the first iteration of the company STS. I have purchased the same modules from ST2, for install over the winter on my 2nd bike. Note,,, it is critical for the turn signal module, that the handlebar signal switch be in excellent operating condition. But that has been written up in previous posts on the subject. cheers,, CAt'

As well as properly modified to disable the mechanical latch.
From what I read the instructions are clear about how to disable the latching, I don't remember if they mentioned cleaning the mechanism. But most of us know how dodgy is can be when it gets gummed up. That could prevent the self-cancellation from functioning. I don't think the instructions cover installation that keeps the 4-way flashers operational. There is a thread or two with several posts about contacting STS support peeps about getting that working.

Hi @barrysegal ... I just finished installing the ST2 Turn System over the weekend with the same result as you describe in your post on Christmas eve. The cancelation unit works as described however my 4-way flashers no longer work when installed per their instructions.

Can you please share the solution ST2 Systems provided. I'm preparing a writeup on the kit's installation and would like to incorporate that solution before I do, especially if it involves changes to the wiring from the provided instructions.

I also bought the ST2 Strober as it did what I want, unlike the ST2 Brake Module. I too have a problem with where to connect it into the brake wiring. I initially hoped I could tap into the rear brake switch circuit like I did to feed power to the lights on my Givi topbox, however that location only results in the line being hot when either brake is applied. What I need is a single circuit to pass through the ST2 Strober module before it reaches the brake lamps (which must be LED according to ST2 Systems, btw). The 1100 passes all the tail, brake and turn signal wires through a single connector making this easy (see Grant Norman's ST1100 Newsletter) However, as I understand it on the ST1300 the wiring for each lamp emerges independently from the wiring harness. I need to intercept those spicy pixies before the get to the brake lamps.

I'm going to reach out to ST2 Systems on my own as well, but I think we'd all appreciate your input too.

Thanks!

EDIT: Just found what I would expect to be the definitive thread on this topic. (please!!!) and know a path to correcting the circuit. It will involve putting two wires into the into the terminal which connects to the grey wire of the ST2 - the pink wire from the hazard switch and the grey wire from the turn switch.

Here is another option that I used in case anyone is interested. It's a LED direct replacement for the stock brake light that flashes six times when either brake is applied then stays solid after that. Easy as just replacing the bulb, no hassle. I want to say it was $15 - $20 US Dollars for a pair of bulbs.

Not a bad option @Bright Rider I had seen similar bulbs on Amazon and ebay but their reviews were mixed at best. They're working well for you? Good!

@barrysegal , I completed the rewiring of my ST2 Turn System today to restore the 4-way flashers based on the thread I cited in my last message. It was easy and worked perfectly. I wish I had researched this more thoroughly before starting my install. It would've saved me a second teardown of the left cowl. I've given the fasteners pet names, we've played together so much... :)

Yes, I've had them in a little less than a year and working well. Glad you got your issues resolved. Please keep us informed how the turn system holds up/or if it is problematic. Enjoy and stay safe out there!

I did the LED tailight flasher and it works well.
