I somehow sense that Honda used some "off the shelf" items...I figure if you are in that deep why not replace both of them also - assuming you can still buy them ...![]()

Knock on wood, I've got one that has 184,000+ miles on the original stuff (pump and pulleys) with no issues.I’m probably the exception - I replaced my original idler and tensioner bearings and water pump at the 180K service interval when I replaced the second belt. I couldn’t tell any difference between old and new. Go figure… FWIW YMMV

Do you remember, (I am sure you wrote it down) how old the bike was then? I am thinking the bikes with the lower mileage today are pushing their age, even if everything looks brand new.
