I know I keep teasing this, but I have been working on these for several years. Let me just say that 3D scanning is just as much an art form as it is science, but I am finally making some good progress with capable equipment. It will still be some time before I have a printable model, but as you can see it is not as simple as they make it to be! There is very much a learning curve and technique to getting a good scan, and in my case my computer limits how large a scan can be, so multiple scans have to be aligned and stitched together. This is just the raw scans before cleanup. It is painstaking yet exciting to finally see something resembling a cover on a screen! More to come!

It does look good, and I look forward to being able to offer that quality or better. However, that license is limited to personal use...if you don't have a 3D printer, you have to get someone else to print it for you. One also can't sell prints of it or derivatives of it. And this version would need to be edited to use the metal holding buttons and holes for screws.

It's great to know this is available though, thanks. I am still in the learning process and hope to match or exceed it.

I look forward to seeing your results!

I understand it has license restrictions against anything other than personal use.

If I had that file I'd use the slicer to erase the posts and I think I could put cylindrical holes to accept the metal pins from a wrecked cover... which is likely why one's 3D printing one in the first place! :)
