Happy New Year!

Please contact me if you have a MCL foot peg lowering kit for an ST1100 or other potential compatible models (most likely mid-large displacement 1990-2000 Honda mc's).
I have checked eBay and Facebook MarketPlace. No luck....
I am aware Larry Wilkin passed in 2012.
I will try to reach his daughter or shop next week.
The latest post on MCL's Facebook page was in 2014.

Finally, if another model from MCL is compatible with the ST1100, please reply to this post or contact me via direct message.

Thank you!

If you can’t source the peg lowering kit, you can elect (via eBay) to get GW foot pegs that will fit the stock mounts and lower the pegs by about 0.75 inches. Another (more expensive) option is the Knight Design pegs:

EDIT: Found them:

I’m trying to put a link for the left one as well but the address doesn’t work- if you go to the page for the right one, the left is just above it.

The seller is selling a left and right foot peg for the ST1100- in the pics is attached a lowering bracket for each peg- the seller wants $35 + shipping per peg, but you can contact them and see if they will allow one shipping price if you purchase both pegs and brackets (the seller may not be aware of the lowering bracket on the peg).

ErDoc48,

Holy Moly!!!! Thank you VERY much. I greatly appreciate your detailed and generous post. I have already purchased both lowered pegs from the seller just a minute ago. Last night, I browsed aftermarket websites or vendors for GL1500 and GL1800 (first gen) for about three hours! There were some interesting options, but I am familiar with MCL adapters and know they worked for me ergonomically.

This ST-community is great! Thanks again!!

If you ever pass San Diego, lunch is on me!!

Ride safely,

For anyone else seeking more leg room and may consider GL1500 or GL1800 (first generation) options, the following URLs may be useful.
(Btw, the conversion to splines provides a wide range of options from the newer GL1800's. Be careful of the cheaper items on eBay, especially if you stand on your pegs a lot. JMHO.)

All the great benefits of a floorboard in a smaller more affordable package! The 3/4" drop-style mount, with interlocking splines, provides more legroom & slight angle adjust-ability for added comfort. Maintain stock-like ground clearance for optimum control.

Yes, OEM pegs, they will fit directly in place of the existing pegs, no modifications needed.

I went out and eyeballed the two ST1100's I have, 1 with the original ST1100 pegs and the other with the GL1800 pegs. The drop doesn't appear to be quite an inch, I took that dimension for face value from another forum thread I read regarding the replacement pegs.

I took a pic of each peg for reference if that helps. The first image is the ST1100 peg and the second the GL1800 peg. I can take more pics if that would help.

Well done! Hopefully it works well out for you. You can always take the lowering bracket off, polish them up, and then use them with your existing ST1100 pegs. The only downside of lowered pegs is the potential for scraping them more easily in a hard turn. I did not experience this. However, my brother did riding the 94 up in the Smoky Mountains. If you’re not a terribly aggressive rider (I’m not), you probably won’t notice the difference except you won’t have as much leg discomfort.
