Hi all, ive got delkevic oval exhausts on my st1100 which are 46cm in lenght.

i do find them noisy though and they are nothing like the sweet sewing machine sound produced by the original.

However, when removing the baffles, i found that one side, think its the left side had a longer baffle fitted by about 15mm..This has got to be a mistake that occurred when the exhausts were manufactured, right?!

Anyway, i am ininterested in hearing peoples views about which after market exhausts are best in terms of being as close as possible to the original sound?

Also, is there anything i can do to make these exhausts quieter?

When I had my ST1100 I had the Delkevic oval exhausts the same as you. I also found them to be too loud. I found out that Delkevic made quiet inserts and I ordered a set. This dramatically reduced the noise and though louder than the stock mufflers the sound was very pleasing. There is a huge difference in weight between the Delkevic Mufflers and stock.

Ive been looking at the following ones on ebay which seem longer.. Also i was thinking of giving them a layer of exhaust wrap of theres room which i'm hoping will soften the sound a bit..

Do you have a part no. for the replacement baffle you fitted?

Sorry but I don't have that information - it was about 10 years ago.
