St Patrick's Day Coffee

good morning all. and thanks for the coffee. 51F on the dog walk with a nice mix of clouds, stars and moon to enjoy.
we have gym this morning and after that we are to meet wife's sister and brother in law at the desert museum for the afternoon. the high should see 84F so it should be nice to walk around and see the animals and plant life. enjoy the day.

stay safe

Thanks Mac, and a top 'o the morning to you all.

Green coffee? Why not. It works for tea....

Weather here is massively windy, massively foggy, and massively 8C. That's the day's forecast too.

Work's at 120% this morning, so into the deep end it is.

Enjoy!

Obo.

Edit: Guess I forgot to hit post 45 minutes ago...

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Mac.

It's raining and 53, rising to 56 and becoming cloudy with some occasional showers this afternoon.

We had unexpected visitors, in the form of our son Joe, wife Megan, and Elouise, yesterday. It was enjoyable, but we've got a bit more to do to make the house child-proof. Elouise is a typical pre-2 year old, running and investigating everything. Megan's second pregnancy is progressing nicely, and she didn't have much to say about it. Joe still plays pick-up soccer games, and pulled something and was sore.
Good to see them all, and share dinner.

Today's plan is to head over to my friend's restaurant to clean some filters again. The guy who was supposed to do that has dropped the ball, and it needs to be done. That person sounds like he's on his way out. Said friend called at Breakfast, yesterday, ranting about his lack of helpfulness...

I'll try to get to the gym, and I'll make a stab at completing the laters LA Times crossword.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

"Methinks my coffee is broke...
3 cups and I'm still tired..."

Its one of those mornings that feel like you've only slept for like 8 minutes... ;)

So I'm looking for patience and tolerance on the bottom of my mug... can't find either... :cautious:

;)

-3°/4°C, windy, quite ghastly, skies like in a 18th century British naval war-painting... WX continuously warns about sleet... haven't seen any yet...

GF has an downtown appointment later today and had intended to use the NT due the precarious parking situation there,
but wisely choose the car over the weather conditions... bet she'll be fuming about not finding a parking spot like forever there...

Office, dull routine, boss wanted some building blueprints plotted (over here there actually color on white paper), already hammered a few offers into the keyboard... we'll see what sticks...

have a good one!

Top o' the mornin' to y'all! Thanks for the joe, Moto! I'm not picky nor a connoisuer, just don't burn it for 4 hours and it'll do me just fine.

53F/12C when I awoke to the sound of the recycling truck telling me I sorta forgot to set mine out...it was windy and threatened rain so I was waiting it out. I waited too long. Yesterday was mostly a weather nothingburger. Had plenty of wind and lots of lines of storms go around and by, but somehow all missed here until just after midnight. So, it just stayed muggy all day.

Got one tire fixed on the mower but haven't been able to wrestle the other off the wheel. Need more soap and grunt, and time. Today is a work day so that'll have to get done on breaks along with a new btty. Hope everyone has a good day and take care y'all!

Thx motomac!

Yesterday was a blank.
Sometimes my ignored symptoms join forces and put me out for a day.
On my feet again today, so no complaints.

Saturdays party with Peter was fun, with the usual suspects.

Mrs Stu is better but not all set to go.
She’ll be home all week.

A choir practise tonight, a welcome change of, well, something.

5˚c/41f, calm and sunny.

Have a good one!
Stu

Thanks, mm fir the coffee, and no... it need not be green.
Been getting used to our warmer weather, so I'm not sure I'm that excited about toodling in at 40°, I feel like wussing out and probably will. Plus I still need to take a shower, and i Snoozed the alarm for almost an hour, plus I'm still here reading the Monday goings-on. If i tried, I know i can come up with a couple of additional lame excuses.
I'll just remind myself that at this point in life, I don't really have to prove anything to anyone.
Tomorrow I'm taking the GSA over to Kerry's to put the Trailmax Missions on. I'll try to save them for mostly trail rides, we'll see how that goes. They're supposed to be decent on the streets, with many GS riders claiming over 6k on the rear.
I've mentioned a couple times recently, that rediscovering the ST1300 has been a real kick, and after a week of tripping around on it, it still feels like a small bike... that's so weird! I knew there was a reason i bought this thing, and I passed 35k miles on it yesterday.
Other than all this uselessness, i really need to get to work.
I'd love to hang out a little longer, even if you wouldn't want me to.

Good morning , happy St Patrick's Day. Wide awake at 5 am , Shaved, showered, breakfast, now sit back and enjoying coffee. If all goes as planned going to Birch Bay to fix a split water pipe in the vacation trailer. Dang pipe is inside a wall so most likely a pain in the back to get at. Plus have to cross the border ,no problem last time, hopefully this time as well. Weather, Partly Cloudy 36 F high 46 F , must remember my heated gloves and neck scarf, body still gets cold easy. Y'all have a fun time,G

Patrick was a completely different person than what is presented in today's culture.
And he wasn't even Irish - he was British. By his own account, he was captured by Irish pirates when he was about 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. Sure sent them snakes packing, though!

Good morning, all, thanks for the start-up, Mac, and a Happy St. Paddy's Day to one and all!

I'm looking at a thickly overcast, grey sky this morning, but that's supposed to give way to a mix of sun and clouds and we've already reached the day's high of 4°C/39°F.

Not much happening today; pretty much still hanging out with my foot elevated as much as possible and waiting for a grocery order to be delivered. Will probably make another substantial dent in this novel I'm reading: "Winter in Madrid" by C. J. Sansom. It's a spy story that takes place in post-Civil War Spain in the 1940s. Good book, good author. I've read several of Sansom's other works and have enjoyed all of them. It's truly a shame to have lost him to cancer last spring.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely. And try to avoid eating green things that aren't supposed to be green.

Patty

Yawn. Stretch. Yawn.

Woke up around 0400, played uke for a while, ate two bagels, playe uke some more. Back to bed around 0800. Now just shy of 1000, might be time to stir once more. Might even have some coffee, so thanks for that.

The overnight rain has ended so today may be a day to start in on the front patio repair. Thanks to all who offered input and advice.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

I forgot to mention that yesterday's Tetris session in the shed was a success!
Even the snowblower got put away...
Sounds like the day I had to move all my stuff into the new (smaller!) VW T6 panel van...

I un- & reloaded the crap like 3 times till it finally came together in a workable structure for daily use...

Morning all! It's slowly turning into a sunny day, at least for now. A bit of rain is forecast for late afternoon. It's 3C right now with a high of 8C to come.

Managed to actually get some things done yesterday, the most noticeable being the front lawn. It was pretty overgrown and shaggy so it feels good to get that done. If I get a chance today, I'll try and get the back done but with company coming for dinner and my wife having physio, it may just have to sit a day or two.

My wife's niece and partner are coming for dinner. They both just started at the Cancer Clinic as radiation therapists having graduated last fall. It's pretty interesting, if not also sobering, listening to them describe what they do (administer radiation therapy) and how they have to plan each treatment. They have visualize the tumour in 3D and try to figure out how to deliver each dose in the least invasive way. They're both great with wicked senses of humour so it should be a lot of fun.

Keith, good luck with the walkway, hope it all goes well. There is something satisfying about landscaping work when you're all done. There's a tangible net positive result (one hopes) sitting there as proof of your labours. I have no doubt you'll "git 'er done".

Hope everyone has a great day!
