This is probably a bit of a stretch as the helmet is bran new but has anyone figured out a good way to mount speakers in this helmet? The ear pockets are rather shallow and behind the removable cheek pads/ear pockets is a strip of plastic instead of foam.

J&M speakers are definetly out of the question on this helmet, maybe motocomm's thin speakers will work. I'm not a fan of having something stuck in my ears.

I didn't want to do surgery on my Shoei X-11 so I went with ear buds, it was the lesser of two evils in my mind.

Do ear buds interface with a helmet intercom system?

If you have an autocom, they have a plug for the helmet head set that has an female plug for the male plug on the ear bud to fit into. For me, way to many wires to be messing with.

I do not have a Shark helmet, but on my Arai, I pull out the cheek pads that have the ear pockets. Pull back the cover and cut the foam rubber if any out. It still has the hard white foam and I melt that away with a solder iron to fit the speaker. The speaker is then flush with the hard foam. Pull the cover back on, and you would never know the speakers were in there. I use foam ear plugs and can hear the music and passenger at 80+ mph, and I have the cheap MIT system.

I have done this on Shoi and other helmets with out any problems.
