Hi St Owner Group,

I recently purchase a 2010 St1300 non ABS model. I would like to perform maintenance and minor repairs to the bike. I would like to buy a service repair manual before I start any project. My question is, Do I have to use the 2010 and newer manual? I am unable to find 2010 service manual, but 2003-2008 are available for cheap. Please advise as I am not experience in the area,

No, but the newer manual shows changes to the bikes. I think there were a number of changes made in 08, and not many after that. I think you will be able to get away with an 08 manual., but other guys will chime in.

there is a lot of articles here and utube .go to home page in the header tab click on "Articles" under it will come down 1300 click on that and it will open many how to and maint schedules
 
The updates from Honda are pages that are glued over the existing page that is being updated. Try to get the most recent version you can, then go to the below thread and print out and update your manual yourself. If you decide to glue the updates in, check before you do as the content isn't neccessarily on the same page between an older manual and a newer one. Depending on how old a manual you buy, you may not end up with a 100% up-to-date manual, but you will be missing precious little.

I bought an '03-'17 manual on ebay for about $70. It was wrapped in about 10 layers of cellophane. Each layer included new date stickers and big sticker sheets to cover the revised pages.

Why don't you download a pdf service manual online? I don't think it is a big thing to find. I used the website called manuals before, worked well for me. It is free of charge and very easy to look for a right manual. Update: here is the website i was talking about https://manuals.co. Good luck!

Whatever you do, don’t torque the oil filter to 20 ft/lbs (apparently there was a typo somewhere…long story to read elsewhere ). Welcome and good luck.

I aapreciate the help, but the link only applys to Honda cars, ther is no moto link.
