Does anyone on the forum have first hand experience with the Schuberth C2 vs the C3?
I know the release lever is on the outside with the c2 rather than in the middle like the c3. How about fit, quietness, etc?
thanks

I will be looking long and hard at the C3 this year. But the price might keep me away since I just replaced my helmet last year with a new Nolan 103.

Yeah, I know. That's why I'm looking at a new c2 for $250 vs the $699 for the c3.
I've got a nolan 102 and a 103 as well

I just acquired the Shuberth C3 and have never had a helmet quite like the C3. Prior helmets for comparison have been HJC Syntech (?), Shoei RF 1000, 1100, X-11, and Shark RSV. I have always like German engineering (although I won't own another BMW) for their innovation. Two years ago I looked at the C2: Much too big for my head, heavy and poor fit. This year the C3 has hit the mark.

-Lighter than other modular helmets, really light and does not flex like the Nolan N90. Latch pins appear to be stainless
-Built in PIN Lock visor (this is really great, will not fog no matter how hard I tried) Did notice tonight that lights created reflections but not distracting. May get another visor without PIN LOCK for summer time usage since fogging would not be an issue.
-Easy to change shields although you don't have to because of the very dark flip down internal visor.
-Internal visor very smooth and easy to use with gloves
-Chin straps have innovative straps coming from the back of the helmet which prevent "roll off" in case of an accident
-Inlet for air allows 2 gal/sec of flow per WebBike World helmet report
-Great fit (I wear medium)
-Deep ear pockets for speakers (wish it had eye glass channels like the RF 1100)
-Very quite at 84dB (this just may be the first helmet I may use speakers instead of ear molds)
-Unique chin strap lock. Took a bit to get used to it but now I like it.

This is the most expensive helmet I've ever owned but couldn't be more pleased.

Thanks for the report. At the price, I decided to try the C2 as it was NIB. So far I like it and if I continue to like it, I may spring for a C3 in the future. My Nolans were pricey enough, but $699..................
