Well I never, I think I'm first. Maybe, maybe not?
Has Nick had a new pillow?
The Dark Italian Roast is ready, freshly baked Croissants too. Help ya'selves.
It's a bit damp to start the day, but the mist is lifting already. We could see 55 and some sun. It'll do.
There's a Plum and apple turnover to be made, which will be tomorrows breakfast and I'll have to find something else to do after that. That won't be difficult to do.
I think we'll need more coffee first though.
Av a gud un and remember, walls need building.
Upt.

Hello from little Bahama!
Thanks Ray for the caffeine beginnings and lovely brekkies hoy y manana.
Don said thanks to all those who tried the "Big Cluck" coffee yesterday - OK I fibbed.
I don't think anyone tried it. It'll tickle yer feathers though...

Weather here is warm-ish and looks like a good weekend for most anything.
Decent for next few days and that's a good thing (as Martha used to say).
I've got the internet company coming to bury that fiber cable installed and laying on the ground.
Fortunately not chewed yet by hungry deers, groundhogs and other creatures.
Fingers crossed - no internet issues noted.

I was up later than norm watching Revenge of the Sith.
If you are a Star Wars fan you get it.
I do like the Star Wars movies but not the latter so much.
I think an exercise in computer graphics they became.

Hmmm, let's see what's going on ...

Y'all have a wonderfilled day!

Thx Ray, first of men!

Yesterdays show visit with my daughter was great fun.
It’s been years since I attended this kind of thing.

Bean on an early walk already.
Some shopping must be done in a bit.
Theeeeen the much needed bike wash, oh I can see a few cans of beer waiting for as well!

@STinner Hope you’re feeling better!

10˚c/50f, grey, calm.

Have a good one!
Stu

good morning all. thank you Ray for the coffee and eats. 41F on the dog walk with a clear sky and a lot of stars to see and enjoy.
old dog #1 got a sniff of something out in front of us and wanted to go investigate. I told her bad things hide in the dark in the desert and lets just keep walking. she gave it up and fell in beside me to finish the walk.
not sure what is on the things to do list for today. I have been working to clean out a bedroom that became a storage room over time so it's time to turn it back.
the high for the day should see 72F enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the Italian roast and croissants Ray. Fingers crossed that I'll live long enough to try the rest of the goodies tomorrow morning.

It's 46°F in Rockville and the weather app says the sky is clear but my eyes tell me it's cloudy. Could be a trick of the pre-dawn light I suppose- I'll know for certain in about 15 minutes. In the meantime, we expect a high around 57 and breezy conditions- N winds of 10+ mph with gust of twice that or more- leading to a "Fire Statement" issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 1300 hours today. Seems there are many active wildfires at the moment, mostly in the west:

Yesterday's family gathering went off well. There's leftover pizza (homemade by me, of course) on offer if anyone has a taste for it. Cold or hot, it's pretty decent eating if I do say so my own self. The rest of the family seemed to agree, and they're not the sort to say so just out of politeness.

It was an experiment, in the sense that I used Italian pizza flour for the crust rather than the usual grocery store-brand bread flour. The crust was noticeably smoother and softer than usual, and seemed to taste a bit different as well. However, since I never use a recipe and don't really measure the ingredients all that closely (after 40+ years of making pizzas I go by feel now) it could just be that I hit a sweet spot by dumb luck. Whatever the case, you're welcome to try it and weigh in.

Today's main event, and the reason for the gathering of the family, will be the interment of Mrs. Fun's mother's remains at Arlington National Cemetery this afternoon, alongside those of her husband (my father in law) followed by a memorial service at my sister-in-law's church and then dinner somewhere in the area.

I've babbled on long enough now to be able to tell that the sky does have a very thin high cloud layer- enough to see but not enough to entirely mask the blueness. In the early light it looked silvery-gray but now it's starting to look more blue.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Hugs to all! Done.

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee Ray.

@nicksacco knock knock. Who's there you ask? Yoda lady.

You're welcome.

3C and partly cloudy headed to 6C and mostly cloudy. I'm sure there's also some mostly partly cloudy and partly mostly cloudy and so forth in there as well. I'm mostly familiar with the term "hosted in." Just not up my cloud verbiage. Everything's in the cloud now anyways innit?

The current fluid plan is a trip to the DMV to transfer my old car to Thing 1, which involves signing a bunch of legal docs saying no money exchanged hands, yes it's a gift, blah blah blah, so that no taxes must be paid on the transfer, just the transfer fee of $40 for all the paperwork. Then it's off for a drive out of town to test drive the new car as I've never driven it, or any of it's identical twins (well more than twins but again I don't know the verbiage here....) That will end with an overnight stay out of town and return home tomorrow. Unfortunately there's no loverly photos like the places Stoo goes, or the Ray and the likes stay at. Just your run of the mill Best Western.

Hope all those still unwell feel better sooner vs later, and those of you well have a super day.

Obo.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the cup, Ray. You’re #1 in my book, although I haven’t seen the book in years.

Last night, I realized that I didn’t get the oil changed in the car yesterday. For the life of me, I can’t remember what kept me so busy that I forgot. I did manage to give the dog a bath. He’s a good boy.

52/71 for today. Starting off with mostly clear skies with a few scattered pink clouds. Rain moving in this afternoon. I’m thinking, “Go change the oil, now.” Maybe after another cup of coffee and possibly some breakfast, then first nap, then watch reruns of Gunsmoke, then lunch, check the mail, whoops……too late to start changing oil….looks like rain.

Get out there and change the damn oil!
:speechless-2x:
I've said enough. Again.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee and goodies, Ray.
I'll have a slice of Keith's leftover pizza, too.

It was 38 on the ride to the house this morning, and I had to squint to see the road in the rising sun.
It'll remain sunny and the temperature should rise to 51, later.
We had a small rain shower, last night, and it coincided with my ride to the hotel.

So, I said that the drywall folks were at the house, yesterday, when I arrived.
We now have walls in the kitchen and bath!
I think the next steps are the kitchen subfloor and maybe bathroom tile.

Brenda and I visited a local showroom for build.com, and got ideas but nothing else. They had few shower doors on display, and a lot of the other things we looked at were more designed for McMansions than our tiny home. $800 lights for over the vanity?!!
We'll head over to Lowe's today, to see what THEY have.

Brenda wants to find some shoes, so we'll head over to the mall for that, if they're not in the Lowe's shopping center.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

'Morning, all. Thanks for the coffee, Ray, I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's breakfast feast.

Weather conditions in my neck of the woods today: sunny, windy and chilly. The current temperature of 2°C/36°F, which feels more like -3°C/27°F, will eventually haul itself up to a high of 7°C/45°F, which will feel more like 5°C/41°F.

@STinner: Glad you're feeling better, sounds like whatever bug it was got you good.

I hope everyone else who's feeling poorly is doing better as well.

Lots of chores and errands to do today, so I'd best get a move on. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning all!
Thanks for another hot start Ray!
Dave, you’ve been sick long enough! I’m glad it hasn’t damaged your sense of humour any! :thumbsup-2x:

A cloudy 35/45 here in the bay, with a SSE breeze 5-12 MPH

I dropped off my ranger for repair after the moose hunt.
Apparently the crankshaft seal was allowing oil to contaminate the drive belt, just out of warranty of course!

John, there is all way tomorrow!

G'Day...
(actually good evening, as its already past 1700hrs over here...)

Washed my '00 ST1100 yesterday (well, rinsed it, no time for detailing...)
Drove across Vienna to get my GF's car from the mech, both lower control-arms (wishbones?) replaced, both stabilizer links replaced, MOT passed...

Woke up before sunrise, starry night, hence frost this morning, but soon the sun was up...
Double dose of Cappricio this morning, by the time we were done with slurping it only dew on the car windows... and it grew significantly warmer during the day...
Topped the bird feeder up and drove to the local motorcycle accessory outlet (Louis) to check for sales...
New summer gloves and new Sympatex under-gloves for both of us, visor cleaners, Honda retro style coffee mugs*...
GF ordered some urban riding booties, her size was out...
Had a look at some textile, 2-piece riding gear... KLIM... obscenely expensive... tried one on just to see what a € 1200- jacket is about... didn't like it...
GF tried some Rukka jackets... same price range and result... will visit another dealer carrying REV'IT later this year...

Then the weekly food-run, later then usual, hence masses of people in the store... pffffft...

Back home another go on our new hobby, the air-fryer... Kaesekrainer and potato wedges... yummy...

Observing our neighbor (plagued with two, always cantankerous, hysterical arguing/screaming teenage daughters he frequently flees the house to hide behind some "projects"...) hectically installing their lavish Xmas decorations/lights, we decided to start a protest/contrast program (hey its not even December yet...), dragged our reclining deck chairs out to lounge ourselves on the terrace, savoring the bright, warm sun... each with a bowl of ice-cream (pistachio vanilla with some chocolate sauce) in our hands... ;)
Slurping on my spoon I addressed him
"...heya, what do you think you're doing there?!..." he glared on our frozen beverages and responded... pffffffft... :roflmao:

We sat out there in the sun for another hour or so... even had more coffee and some Manner wafers... while murders of crows circled above, croaking...

Once the sun started to set we dismantled the solar shower and the bird-bath (a fake, hollow rock with a small pond-pump inside), both need descaling and cleaning... the season is over...

cheers!

*with hilarious retro-labels BTW:

Morning Ray & All from sunny, AND COLD, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 39F, up from 19F and heading for 56F. No breeze yet, later, we'll see the winds out of the NW @ 5 TO 6MPH.

I was able to get a lot done with the shed. I've run into a couple of issues here and there with "fitment" of the parts, but I either gone around it or left it. I figure, it will work itself out!

I told you it was a tight fit! :)

I'll finish the main roof panels, then assemble the "skylight" top and get it into place today. Then there will be a bunch of little things to do too, and I'll get those done over the next week!

Oatmeal, toast & eggnog to start the morning. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
