I had a very bad experience las weekend with my Motorcycle insurance with Allstate.
Can anyone recomend a good road assistance in South Florida?
Because is all I need in case of a breakdown on the road.
Thanks.

I use AAA, with the motorcycle addition. Its not cheap but works. AMA has a 35 mile included with the membership of about 55 bucks a year. You can ask Mark B. here on the forum how he likes the AMA ....... after they let him sit on a bridge all day and never showed up with the tow.

Can't say for your area, but I used to have Allstate Motor Club. They never did me dirty, but it took forever to get service dispatched to me when I needed it. I did use them once to haul my m/c home after a low-speed crash. The wrecker guy was real good abt it all and did no (additional) damage. I have AAA now and service is much quicker though I am paying more. Considering the number and age of vehicles in my fleet, the peace of mind is worth it.

I dropped AMA, after being a member for 10 years, after they dropped the ball with Mark. I was the one that finally picked up Mark and his bike, allowing him to get to my RTE before the food ran out.

I’ve found it’s much easier to Google towing service, than to rely on a desk jockey, to get me home. If your search doesn’t find anything, call the Highway Patrol and ask which tow company is on call.

BMW Owners of America offers roadside assistance vetted for motorcycle riders instead of primarily car or light truck operators. You don’t have to own a BMW and one policy is good for all the motorcycles that the rider owns. Besides roadside assistance, the coverage includes road hazard replacement for motorcycle tires damaged in the first 60% of their life, according to the tread depth. Unless it goes up this year membership and roadside assistance is about $110. I’ve used it twice in 19 years and the service was excellent. BTW both times were for my ST1300.

I dropped AMA and now use Nashcat Towing.they give you prompt servie and take you where you need to go. His helper is on the shady side but is excellent and really knows his *****.
The Nashcat Towing also includes a meal and overnight lodging - certain restrictions may apply.

Is Nashcat Towing solely a local company or do they cover a multi state area?

Nashcat Towing only applies if you’re on the way to my RTE. Or local. Or, I guess, good friends. Or you’re desperate. I have an open trailer and a F250. I might go 200 miles, but you’d need a big pocket full of dog biscuits for my helper. Oh, I’m also on the RAN list.

Don't you have towing covered under the insurance policy?

A bunch of guys I know headed out west on a two week trip. One of them had repeat problems with his rear tire - three flats and two tires later correctly diagnosed as a bad valve installed*. After a number of stops, he gave up. The last member of the group, who had passed on this particular trip, hooked up his trailer and drove 8 hours west from Cleveland to pick up his buddy. The friend in need paid for a motel and expenses - that good deed was worth a 50 lb bag of treats.

*diagnosis was after he got home.

I think it adds $5 to the price of each bike's policy.

When you do need a tow, be sure to remind them it, is for a motorcycle.
