I met Malcolm about 16 years ago when I took my three sons out camping in Johnson Valley with our dirt bikes to ride in the desert. Malcom was camping fairly close to us and we spent some time talking around the campfire, he was very kind to my three sons. At that time he was suffering from Parkinsons and was not riding motorcycles anymore but was driving buggies and side by sides. He was quite a legend.
Since watching "On ANY Sunday", back when it came out, Malcolm's name has come up a number of times. Including stopping by his shop in the early Eighties.
Great loss to the Motorcycle Community!
I met Malcom at a motorcycle show and was much impressed with his approachability. One of the best all time riders of motorcycles. Truly, a good man was lost and will be missed.
RIP
