REV'IT! Poseidon 3 GTX Jacket
Size: 3XL - I'm 5"10, 225, 47" chest 34"-35" sleeve and it fits me well. The sizing on REV'IT jackets is on the smaller side. I normally wear an 2XL with other brands. I've owned 5 REV'IT jackets over the years and I've had to size up to 3XL on all of them. Will accommodate a heavier, puffer style thermal jacket underneath with comfort. I usually prefer slightly longer sleeves so cuffs sit well when my arms are extended to the handlebars.
This jacket is a 2-layer Gore-Tex jacket, so it is relatively light (approx. 2.5 lbs. lighter) compared to the 3-layer jackets like the REV'IT Dominator or Klim Badlands. It feels lighter, cooler and more flexible than other Gore-Tex jackets I've owned.
Condition: Lightly used - 4 weeks. Has been cleaned/washed with Gore-Tex specific Nikwax Tech Wash and Nikwax DWR waterproofing. Smoke free, pet free home.
Includes: zip on storm collar, thermal liner and Seesoft CE level 2 back protector (sold separately)
This is the latest version of the Poseidon GTX jacket. I have owned various Gore-Tex jackets, including the prior Poseidon 2, which was one of my favorite jackets.
The Poseidon 3 is better in every way compared to the 2 version. The vents are bigger and flow more air, better fitting and the pockets are more useful. The storm collar actually provides useful protection in rain and cold conditions and the fitted liner is very effective down to the high 40s, low 50's. With the vents open I'm comfortable up to the low 80s behind a fully faired bike and into the mid to high 80s behind a smaller fairing like a BMW GS. Both this version and the prior Poseidon 2 kept me completely dry in multi-hour heavy rain.
I expected to keep this jacket for a number of years, but some Xmas Santas banded together to unexpectedly give me the Dominator 3 GTX jacket, so I am reluctantly selling the Poseidon.
Here is a review about the Poseidon 3 GTX jacket and pants by MCN (Motorcycle News) out of the UK. They ride all year long in all kinds of weather conditions. The review gives it 5 stars.
The major online websites show the current price at $900 ($899.99) and $50.00 for the back protecter = $950 total. Half price at $475 + $25 shipping.
Here is more descriptive detail regarding the jacket.
