Good morning everyone, and thanks for yesterday's literal well-wishes.

They seem to have (mostly) done the trick- my throat's no longer sore, my body ache has subsided, and my sinuses are once again operative (mostly). As a reward for all your help I've made a special pot of French roast. It's just the same as my usual pots, except for the extra dollop of gratitude I put in. Please help yourselves, savor, and enjoy it knowing you've help the old and infirm.

It's 48°F and clear in Rockville. Sunny and 79 are the predictions for later in the day. I feel recovered enough to venture back to the links for the scheduled round of goof, although a flask of single malt medication from Scotland may accompany me in the event of a partial relapse during play. Shhhhhhh, don't tell the course marshals. It's strictly prohibited to BYO onto any county-owned and operated course.

In case anyone's been wondering at the long silence from @nicksacco I have the answer: he texted last night and said his internet has been down for days. He'll be back presently, though.

Stay (or get) safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Ay up, ta me duck.
Oooooooh that gratitude tastes fine and dandy. Cough, cough, blummin bugs.
Yesterday was officially a no chore day, photo's to prove, it did involve gelato. Why wouldn't it. Similar weather today and we may see 60. Nice.
Er'Indoors is away to have er barnet done in the good ol'Borders and I'm not. Best find some some'ats to get on with I spose.
Av a gud un and remember, t'internet's important.
Upt.

Forgot me piccies, doh, I was out drinking with Nashcat!

Thx Keith!
Wonder if well wishing is a quantum thing…glad it worked!

10˚c/50f, 35mph wind, sun, rain……c’mon, make up your mind!

Been on a walk. Windy on the hilltops. Quiet and calm going through the forest.

Lot’s of should haves, and could haves today, let me think about it for a while….no, nothing today.

Nice pics Ray!

Have a good one, and eat more ice cream!
It’s impossible to eat ice cream and be pffffftd simultaneously…

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Keith.

Nick who?

Wonder if well wishing is a quantum thing…glad it worked!

Only one way to tell. Jump into this old well and let us throw money at you. It's almost like what @steve3b3 & @Weaselinsuit are doing.....

It’s impossible to eat ice cream and be pffffftd simultaneously…

Not for those lactose intolerant.

It's a still dark, 5C kinda day. Rain later, getting up to 8C - sort of. That's sort of a settling point for a few hours before it keeps climbing overnight into the 20's.

Hope everyone has a wonderfult day. In case you're wondering, that's a day fult of wonders.

Obo.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and good cheer, Keith! It is needed. I'm very glad you're feeling better!
And thanks for the update on Nick, I was certainly wondering where he'd gotten to.

The wacky weather continues...looks like we have another, two-day Indian Summer happening. Today, we have a mix of sun and clouds with temps ranging from the current 11°C/52°F to 21°C/70°F with a feels-like of 23°C/73°F. A humidity factor. In October. It's madness, I tell you. Tomorrow will even be a tad warmer. It'll be great for the trick-or-treaters and even greater for the parents; they're usually the ones standing on the sidewalk bundled up and shivering, waiting for the kids to get their goodies at every house.

Have a good one, everybody. Stay safe and go safely. Nice pics, Ray and Stu (as always)!

Patty

good morning all. thank you Keith for the coffee. good to hear you are feeling better. 47F on the dog walk with a cloud or two and stars to look at as we walked.

have gym class this morning and nothing on the books for this afternoon. so there just might be a nap later on. the high should see 69F. looks like Fall temps have shown up. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Keith.
Glad you're doing better. Hopefully, Ray is as well.

It's foggy and 41, becoming partly cloudy and rising to 71, later.
We had some rain, overnight, but not a lot.
I took the truck to the hotel, though. I'll get back on the bike for the next few days, at least, minus the Gerbings...

I made it to the gym, and did a walk, yesterday, but without the neighbor's dog. She was locked up, when I went to see if she could go.

Today, I'll try for the gym and another walk

Speaking of quantum things, and throwing money...
I got a text message from my builder, asking if I'd be around on Thursday. The building inspector will visit for his check of the structure, before the insulation, drywall, flooring, etc can begin.
Then the cash will really flow!
I'm looking forward to the time when I don't need to rise at 6:30 to come to the house.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Mornin’ y’all. Thanks for the coffee, Keith.

Still summer. 56 to start, with a sunny 80 following. Rain tomorrow is the forecast that my knees are saying.

Wednesday? What happened to Tuesday? Oh yeah…the Yankees managed to stay alive in game 4 last night.

Morning all! Still dark out here, with rain on the way that will last pretty much until the evening. It's 9 C, which I am told feels like 6C. The high will be 10C and there's a wind warning in effect as well; 70-90 kph gusts. Makes me kind of glad I am working from home again today.

That's horrible about those poor folk in Spain. Those flash floods are a nasty bit of work. I can't imagine what some of those victims must have gone through in their last minutes. Hopefully, the death toll doesn't climb any higher.

Yesterday's seminar on good faith in construction contracts actually turned out to be pretty interesting. One of the most recent cases involved a company that a friend from law school works at. So naturally I had to send him a text giving him a hard time. At his request, I was able to send him a link to a case so my good deed was done for the day. What could be better than giving a friend a hard time about something and then getting to do a good deed? It's like acing an exam AND the bonus question. No doubt fate will be along to smarten me up with a downfall of my own later today, no smartass maneuver goes unpunished.....right Obo? :D

As for throwing money down the well, I think the more apt analogy is being at the bottom of the well, being told to put all my money in the bucket and they'll lift me....honest they will. Still, they're building me a pretty nice well to sit at the bottom of so maybe it works out? The tile guy has put down the Schluter membrane and the heating coils in both bathrooms. Apparently, even the benches in the showers will be heated. Not sure that's necessary but I'm all over the progress. I think the real pleasure is that we'll have a house that works. No more electrical extension cords running everywhere from the one or two decent power outlets. It will all be safe and it will all work. Funny the things you take for granted.

Enough blathering, work calls.....it's kind of like a cross between a camel in labor and my own singing voice.....shudder.....

Hope everyone has a great day and remember, all's well that gets you out of the well.....eventually!

Morning Keith & All from overcast & COLD, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 33F, up from 31F and looking for a high of "maybe" 47F. Pretty much a frozen scene out there. It snowed most of the day, but due to the temperature, most of it didn't stick around, thank goodness. We have a slight breeze, and later, the winds will be from the NNW @ 7 to 9mph.

The rest of yesterday was doing nothing, but playing on my computer and recovering from the last week of killing myself, getting that shed pad down. Today will probably be too cold still to do to much, we'll see.

Eggs, bacon toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) will be had later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
