Hi Brand New Newbie Here, ATL Ga.

Love my New to me 2007 ST1300A -

This part didn't have the rivet and was taped down - It flew off at some point and I can't identify it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That would be called a "maintenance cover" or "lid", found on the parts lists under "Lower Cowl"

Hey New Newbie Braz,

Is the part the arrow is pointed to on the pix below a hard rubber cushion?

Mine were missing and I am trying to figure out where exactly to fit the replacements. This might be it!

Thanks and welcome.

Yes they are a hard rubber cushion, I see alot missing on STs. They fall off easy, when I took my '04 into the shop for warranty work once I had to go find mine after the shop got done.

The circled area in the pic refers to the missing pin. But he's referring to the lid.

That would be #10 for the right side according to Larry's link. But it looks to be different than the one in Braz'z pic. Or are my eyes deceiving me. It's early in the morning for me.

The link says "In stock". I thought this part was made of unobtainium. There was a thread or two about modifying the mounting so the pin flying away didn't allow the lid to follow. Routine checking of the pin's condition is a good idea.

I came across that one somewhere but its missing the black.
I now see that the black might be an add on accessory per the post by Midlife - "That would be for the lid that comes with the optional stick-on deflectors."

Two different sets. The one mentioned above is a (very difficult to find) deflector that clings on the edges of the fairing and comes with its own replacement lid.

The one you have is a knee protector for the fairing, that tacks on the fairing itself and on top of the standard lid.

Depending on riding position, some riders find their knees rubbing and scuffing the fairing, hence this protector.

So a new standard lid will fit your bike, but will be missing the padding that was tacked on top of the one that flew off.

Here is the padding kit.

Dude you Rock - Beers on me when I roll through Houston........

Interesting development if true. My recollection is Honda only sold this accessory in the USA with four other pieces making up the entire heat deflector kit.

Correct, they are two separate pieces. The body-colored panel is the maintenance cover. The black plastic is a separate piece, part of the larger surrounding in a kit I presume to prevent one from scratching the cover. I don't know their part numbers.

If you don’t want to loose those in the future, here is a better method.
Body molding clip and threaded fastener

But don't be confused by Igofar's post. He is showing the lid for the air deflector kit. There are still some available on the web (lid only, not the full kit) but it is not the one you want. You need the standard one.

His confusion comes from the fact that the air deflector kit extends over the fairing and doubles up as a knee protector. What you have is knee padding only, without the deflector, and without the dedicated deflector lid @Igofar is picturing.
