A long time ago, I seem to remember having to buy a separate socket for these, because my socket set did not include one or both of them.

But my memory fades and on Tuesday I am taking my tools and everything else that I need to give my brother's ST1100 braking system a good seeing to.

I am bound to forget to take something really important, and the niggles have already started: Have I got the correct sockets for the wheel axles ?

Oh - brilliant - many thanks @UP. Stopper bolt will be OK - whatever it is, I will have one. It is the larger sizes when my 'set' starts to introduce gaps in the sizes.

And yes - those were the extra sizes that I had bought especially. But it was so long ago - 2007 when I parted with my last 1100 - I couldn't rely on memory for what I think that I bought them for - and my current set isn't missing those two sizes - so I wasn't at all sure. Thank you for braving the cold to find out for me.

Not a long or very cold walk - just out my pantry door, through my heated workshop and out into my connect garage! ;)
I am so blessed to have the land space to have constructed stuff for convenience when I added on my attached garage and workshop.
My 'dream' was to have a garage attached to the house so I could pull my vehicles in out of the weather and walk directly into the house.
'Dream' was fulfilled when I got my workshop/garage built.

Wow. Space. It's only a short walk to my garage - - which is one of those that is only slightly wider than the door, which in turn is only slightly wider than the car. Driving into it (which I haven't done for over 40 years in a car), has to be done backwards as there is only one place where the car door will open - and that requires the garage side door to be open beforehand. But its big enough to get the (single) ST1300 up on a ramp and be able to work on it and walk / shuffle around it. And when I had both the 1100 and the new ST1300 in 2007, I could just about get both of them in.

But heated ? No. Close the door. Cuts out the windchill so it feels much warmer. Or warm the engine up before venturing out there.
