Hello Actually not that new. I have been lurking around here for the last few months and just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you to all that contribute to this site.
Last October I "got a deal" on a black 94ST 53,000 miles. My winter project. Bodwork is in good shape and looks like it had been cared for but possibly neglected for the past 10 years. Barely ran, needed carb work and it had a major coolant leak out the back of the engine from under carbs.
I am very familiar with gen 3 and 4 VFR 750s but never really looked to close at the St1100. I did know I wanted an early one without linked brakes traction control and all the complexity that goes with it.
So now the ST is done and it was a little more $$ than I bargained for but so glad I did. The weather is breaking here in the Northeast and cant wait to get some miles on it. So far I've put around 100 test miles and all is good. What a great bike.
The 40 amp alternator upgrade, fuel pump mods and other info that is here on this site made it all possible.
Thanks to all.

Welcome from NW Georgia!

I used to live close to Kutztown, in Pottstown PA. We often went to the Kutztown Folk Festival. They used to have a mock hanging that scared the heck outta me!

Welcome aboard! Similar to my joining experience here. Mine was a 1991 garage queen. Rode it for a few months and took it down for inspection. I still don't know how it had been running so well as I found/fixed all of the 'stored and ignored' problems. Lots of grand, sincere help here.

You might remember Kiss Honda in Pottstown. I bought a few bikes there back in the day. Just a kid when I picked up my CB1100F. Big Randy said to me "be carefull young man thats a powerfull motorcycle".
