Yes it's Monday :eek-2x: .
Double Dark Roast Italian for all. Except that awkward one. You know who you are.....:wasntme:.
27 to 38, pffffffftttttt. Blue skies and a breeze. They're still saying sn..
Yesterday was productive but I'm predicting sloth mode today.
Also signed up for a new fixed energy deal yesterday for gas and electric until June 2026, I was expecting.....:shout1:HOW MUCH! But no :run1: we will be paying £120.00 a month less. So I think that's 19 x £120.00......I need more fingers. I love socialism me.
Av a gud un and remember, sloth it.
Upt.

G`Day...

sunny, 11°C, possible shower in the afternoon/evening...

stuffy nose, sore throat, dry cough when waking up causing pain in the windpipe... :ambulance:
yeah, that female coworker really managed her job as patient zero spreading the bug...
Females are social beings, it would be unjust if only she alone is infected, nah, she has to haunt the workplace so everybody else has to suffaaahhhhh...

A really bad performance by our ancestors back in the African savanna's, if they just had clubbed every runny nose already back then, that bug would have gone extinct a long time ago...

Already spotted the first cars fitted with Randolph accessories... nose on the grille, antlers on the roof, the whole thing... pfffffff... another thing gone viral... I'm positive they even play Wham and Mariah Carey on full blast...

have a good one...

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the double-D Italian roast Ray. @ST1100Y sorry you've been given the crud for Christmas, even if Christmas is still five-plus weeks away.

It's 42°F and cloudy in Rockville, on the way to sunny skies and a high around 69. 69, in mid-November in the mid-Atlantic? That's nuts, but it'll make the day's round of goof less uncomfortable despite an early (0820) tee time. There will be minimal wind to contend with and the humidity's definitely manageable so I'll dress in removeable layers so I can adjust as the day evolves.

For once I think I know well ahead of time what Mrs. Fun will receive for Christmas but I have to get on the stick to make it happen.

I also need to set aside some time, and muster the willpower, to get my workshops cleaned up. They've deteriorated, as so often happens with me, into dumping grounds for anything and everything that's leftover, surplus, spare, or simply without an obvious home and it's reached the point where it's difficult to navigate the space. Time for general cleanup, putting away, tidying, and a purge. Then I can get to work on a small project that sprang to mind over the weekend, resulting in- you guessed it- a whole new mess.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Good Monday Morn all!
(I wasn't shouting FYI)
Thanks Ray for double Italian caffination.
In the morning I look in the mirror and see that old Italian double everyday!

I finally finished the backyard swing yesterday - lots more work and ladder climbing that I bargained for.
The ankle thanked me too. Now today I just have to put it together - no more steam yesterday...
Ahhhh *sluuuurp*
No sn here in Bahama. Hopefully we'll have a bit in January just for fun so I can use my snowthrower.
If not, maybe I can use it to move mulch around the farm!

Ever notice some mornings feel colder but the temp was the same as previous day?
What is that? Body un-acclimatization?

Who wants cinnamon rolls?

Y'all have a winderfilled day!

good morning all. thanks Ray for the coffee this morning. 40F on the dog walk with Mr Moon at the 12 O'clock position to wash out any stars around it. the clouds stayed away so it was a clear sky, without stars and just the moon for company to walk with.
yesterday with the wife gone to dog training I got all the things done that I hoped to get done in cleaning the bedroom up. today I have gym so that kills the morning. but for the afternoon I have my sights set on the workbench out in the garage. the high should be 64F enjoy the day

stay safe.

Double Dark roast coffee? I see what you did there, Ray, and i like it. Smooth, plush riding and handles well through the curves.

Oh, wait. That's the other double dark.

Mine's still dripping through, so for the next 90 seconds I'll enjoy my first drink of yours with you.

Looking around on the highway of electrons, I found a pair of bars for my helmet lock on Amazon for 7 bucks, and as my garage / shop has suffered the same symptoms of creeping collections as Keith's, that means I don't have to go crazy looking for my spare one. These little deals are sometimes listed as "D-ring extenders", although I didn't know it. Should be here today, which means I will probably find my other one tonight or tomorrow.

I'll put the spare helmet lock key somewhere in the bike today, no need to repeat Sunday's foolishness.

Should be clear today with a high of 74, so Kaiser gets to ride again. It's 50- something now, but not double dark because we still have the largest portion of a full moon. Which was spectacular a couple of nights ago, and i hope y'all got to see it.

Good for Keith for figuring out Mrs. Fun's Christmas. I haven't yet, but there's still a month and couple of days before Christmas Eve, so I'm still safe for now.

... muster the willpower, to get my workshops cleaned up.
Ditto...
Spent Saturday afternoon in my shed, we were in a rush moving everything in so partially still a mess...

Hate having zip-tie bags blocking up (horizontal) shelf space, I got me a dispenser, will be filled with my black ones though...

Still looking for some rigid but affordable boxes/container systems to get all the service parts sorted by model and parts group...

also installed a retractable air hose reel; spiral hoses are nice, but when extended they sometimes pull your tools from the lift/workplace...

Thx Ray, hello Darkness my old friend…!

Yesterday was nice!
No visiting, no visitors, just me and me gal, wine and music, and a beer while I tidied up the garage.

Today started with an adventure.
I walked the hills to check out the shed I mentioned last week.
No trail there, so a bit tough walking.
Turned out to be a hunting or wildlife photo shed.
Not as old as it looks, just like me.
Who built it, I wonder…

My phone died after three shots, but you get the idea.

Bicycling for groceries soon.
Choir practice later.

4˚c/39f, hail, sleet, rain and 25mph wind from north.

Have a good one, and remember ; curiosity killed the cat…
Stu

What might these be? Two of them, just lying on the floor. Stainless steel, homemade….

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray! Please, sir, may I have some more? Oh, and Nick, could ya save me a cinnamon bun, please? Much obliged!

It's a smidge milder today, and we'll have overcast skies for most of the day, with just a bit of sun for a couple of hours this afternoon. It's currently 5°C/41°F with a feels-like of 4°C/39°F, and the high will be 10°C/50°F with a windchill of 8°C/46°F.
I'm surprised I'm not yelping every time I move this morning (I'm sure the stiffness will get a little worse before it subsides). We were a large group yesterday - 25 hikers in all. We completed 14 km (8.699 miles) of up-and-down, rocky trails on our way to the summit lookout. The last 1.5 km is an extremely tough, unrelenting vertical segment of rocks and boulders ...brutal. I'd hiked it before, but wasn't sure if we were on that particular trail or not. It became quite obvious that we were, as I reached the point where the trail abruptly points sharply upward. "Oh, crap, yes, I remember this. (Groan)." We took a break at the lookout for a few minutes to catch our breath, hydrate and scarf down some trail mix before tackling the last 4 km back down to the starting point. I'm proud to say that I survived and am here to tell the tale.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

You know what they say, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

4C headed to 7C under drizzle and cloudy skies. Brought the car as a result. Mix emotions on that.

Lots to do, never enough time, such is life.

Hope everyone has a super day!

Obo.

Yesterday, on our shopping trip, we saw an entire family, dressed up in their ugly sweaters and red/white hats going into one of the stores. We saw them later, waiting to have their photos taken, I guess for Christmas cards.
Made us smile.

The things you see when you haven't got your gun.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.
And I'll have one of Nick's cinnamon rolls...

It's 39 and overcast, with a bit of rain coming down.
It's just a passing shower, and we'll see sun later while the temperature rises to 62.

Yesterday, we stopped at Carl's, and had WAY too much to eat. I'll have some leftovers in a minute.
We also went out shopping for shoes for Brenda, and curtains for the front room.
No luck on either front, at the stores, but Brenda has some online purchasing to do.

We went to dinner at our local Chinese restaurant, and my friend actually showed up.
He's been missing in action for about a month.
He let on that he's having family issues, due to the restaurant, and he's looking for an apartment. :(

Today, I'll head over to the restaurant to install some GFI outlets.
Gym, maybe, but it'll be the last for a week or so, due to the upcoming cataract surgery, tomorrow.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

good morning all, and thanks for the coffee Ray.

Crisp and clear here, not even cold yet - so I guess my breaking out the sled yesterday and getting it setup for winter did the trick. Anyway, things here are quiet, my MIL had a stroke last sunday and has started a decline, so Mrs. Ken is coming around to the fact that this is likely the last holiday season with her. Sad, but an opportunity to make things beautiful with that in mind. Hug everyone you love, it is always worth it. Stay safe.

Good morning, all. Thanks for the darkside coffee, Ray.

54 and partly cloudy to start. Mostly sunny and 74, later in the day.

One of the neighbors brought her sons’ dirt bike over for me to work on. Replacing the shifter and the shaft with the shifter forks, as well as new ignition switch. I think it’s the 3rd switch I’ve put in the bike because her boys keep hiding the keys from each other. Pre-teen boys have a certain knack for destruction. I’m glad I wasn’t like that……or was I?

Morning all! There's a bit of sun and blue sky off in the distance but there's a nasty looking dark band of clouds between here and there. It's supposed to be sunny until late afternoon so maybe the dark band will bugger off for a bit. Chilly, it was about 3C for the ride in. Definitely have to get the heated grips fixed. Was looking at handlebar muffs online yesterday, anyone have any recommendations? The high today will be 7C so it may be a bit of a chilly ride home today.

I decided to ride today because tomorrow heralds the arrival of yet another unheard of until now weather event; a cyclone bomb. High winds, lots of rain and a precipitous pressure drop. Which may explain yesterday's migraine which laid waste to any plans I had yesterday to finish up the window cleaning in the house. I would much rather have been cleaning the windows....

Steve, good luck with the cataract surgery.

Ken, that really sucks about your MIL. Hope it's Christmas to remember and look back on fondly. I'm sure she'll really appreciate it.

The contractors have dropped another invoice so I best get to work to pay for it. Hope everyone has a great day and has a lock on happiness!
