Ay up, ow at. The Dark Italian Roast is ready and there's a Baked Brioche and Blueberry Pudding if ya like.
Now what about the weather, same old same old cyclonic gloominess but it'll do, we may see 52.
Yesterday was fruitful in search of flights, BA have got a sale on which is nice, Er'Indoors fancies going back to Abruzzo, Italy next year and prefers to fly this time. As long as I can sit at the front it don't matter too much to me. We can forget about that until next Autumn now, which is also nice.
It's a bit of a bind living this far north when it comes to flying, driving to London is not on my bucket list, but we found flights from Newcastle upon the Tyne to Pisa connecting through Heathrow so all good. The price was surprisingly good. Which is also ...... you've got it.
Today, dunno yet, it'll be an at home day doing some'at or t'other.
Now has Nick snooked in whilst I've been babbling on.
Av a gud un and remember, some'at happens tomorrow.
Upt.

Howdy folks and Happy Monday!
Yum - thanks for the caffitation and snackeroos, Ray.
'can't beat a good pudding eh?

Last evening was lovely and expensive!
Ya see, this new (mostly outdoor) venue opened that pretends to be a wine vineyard (they tried).
80+ acres of old NC land has been turned into the venue below with food trucks, and yer basic "isn't this a lovely place to drink wine" kind o' place.
At $16 a glass, I think I am an investor now. But my lovely wife and our friends love it.
There were no tractors in sight. "Ni"; I say.

Grass is growing here on the homestead and my latest gadget (a wireless sprinkler control) is a hoot.
Now I can control sprinklers from anywhere in the world! What power! What convenience!
I'm certain the servers are behind the cabinets in WAB stores everywhere.
What do you think @Sadlsor ?

Hmmm, I think I'll mosey on down to the shop and see what I can get into.

Y'all have a winderfilled day!

Good morning and thx Ray for a flying start…!

10˚c/50f, overcast, showers, calm.

Yesterdays birthday party was meh, but the food was good.
Trying so hard to stay positive here.

No walk today, my boots are still wet from yesterday, and like our cat I don’t like wet feet.
A bicycle ride to get some groceries.
Wraps with minced meat, cheese etc for dinner.

I think I’ll dodge the news the next few days.

Have a good one, and keep sprinkle some kindness around you!
Stu

G'Day,

WX told 2°C/35°F for this morning... we'd a starry night, hence I doubted that...

As the automatic door of the warm sub-level garage opened, my trusty Toyota shivered... outside all covered in frost...

And there you have them, blokes too lazy and dumb to clear their windows, with barely a 2x5 inch view-port scraped off their windscreen they plow around like an old M60 with closed visor...

Anyway, office, glaring blue skies, won't see more then 13°C/55°F today...

AFK to grab a lunch...

cheers!

good morning all. and as always, thanks for the coffee Ray. 46F on the dog walk with a somewhat clear sky with the stars hiding out here and there. the big news is that it rained for most of the day here in Tucson but 50 miles to the north where my wife had a dog event no rain until she was 1/2 way home in the afternoon. I need to get a rain gauge so I can see how much we get. I have a doctors appointment this morning so we should pass a store or two that would have them. I just need to remember to stop at one.
our high should see 62F. enjoy the day

stay safe

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

Stoo, if only there was a place to buy more boots... I think your walk time would be well worth it. In fact, you could be positive it would be.

A cold ride into work this morning at -4C with a windchill of -16C. It was nice though it was bright and not dark, thanks be to the time change. Should be +6 and cloudy for the ride home.

Going to look at cars tonight. Ugh and yay all the the same time. Would that make it, ugay or yagh?

Hope everyone has an excellent day!

Obo.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and pudding, Ray!

It is a cold, grey, dark, overcast morning, and there's wet white stuff coming out of the sky. Yes, gentle reader, it is snowing. Sigh. And so it begins. The wet snow will turn to rain in the next hour or so, and the rain will continue to fall all day, all night and half of tomorrow. Today's temperatures will range from the current 2°C/36°F (which feels like -1°C/30°F) to 9°C/48°F with a windchill of 6°C/41°F.

In contrast, yesterday was absolutely gorgeous. Bright and sunny, and a little warmer than we thought it was going to be, especially since there was no wind and we were in the woods. The beautiful weather brought half the club out - there were 36 of us on the hike. A couple of people even brought their pooches along. We managed a loop of 8 km (about 5 miles) in just under 2 hrs. It was a very enjoyable hike.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Yawn, stretch, blink blink blink...

Hullo ev'ryone and thanks for the coffee and puddin', Ray. Glad you found flights to your liking and budget. Next year is a Jubilee year so you probably want to avoid Rome. Just sayin'.

It's 43°F and mostly sunny in Rockville, where we anticipate another mild late autumn day with clear, sunny skies and a high around 63. Continental drift must've carried us south. Either that or the clim... oh never mind.
Last evening was lovely and expensive! Ya see, this new (mostly outdoor) venue opened that pretends to be a wine vineyard (they tried).

There's a County-owned and operated golf course a few miles away from me that has gone this route as well. In 2022 a decrepit, decaying, abandoned, condemned clubhouse was torn down and replaced with a spanking new winery and restaurant, plus even a few token grapevines in the yard. That operation is operated by a lessee, who is clearly hoping to position themselves as an event destination for the genteel, well-heeled crowd and have set their prices accordingly. $22+ for a burger and fries (drinks cost extra)? No thanks.

Going to look at cars tonight. Ugh and yay all the the same time. Would that make it, ugay or yagh?

I'll go with "yagh", or just plain "ugh". Vehicle buying is up there with legal proceedings, root canals, and colonoscopy prep on the enjoyment scale.

We finished a weekend of domestic productivity yesterday, ahead of the arrival of relatives starting Wednesday evening. Mrs. Fun's family, both immediate and extended, are gathering for the interment and memorial service for her mother on Saturday next so there were numerous cleanup and fixup tasks to be accomplished before their arrival.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee, Ray.

60/76 and mostly cloudy today, with the addition of a red sky this morning. Arrrrhh…if I were a pirate, I’d take warning, but the only sailing I’ll be doing is piloting the sloop Cub Cadet across the endless seas of fallen dreams, cutting through the fallen debris, that once provided shade. Yep, mulching leaves today.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow’s a day away.

John

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

It's a bit cloudy in MA this morning, and the temperature was 31 during my drive to the house.
It'll cloud up a bit more, as the temperature rises to 53.
I'm having to work a bit harder to break through the ice on the dish pans, outside. May have to bring the buckets into the under-construction kitchen.

Yesterday was a do-nothing day, and we both sat around in front of the TV and PC.
Watched the Patriots lose, and went to dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant.
Brenda checked us into our latest hotel room, and we got settled in for the next few weeks.

Today, after Freya has had enough lap time, I'll head over to said restaurant with the backpack blower, to rid the parking lot of leaves.
Brenda says she'll do some laundry, and we should probably head to the big box store for some supplies.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Thx Ray for the go-go juice and goodies!

Didn't sleep well either. Gonna be a weird day or two.

no hugs today

If it is the Italian Lurgious Giganticus, substitute days with months. I think it's 5 weeks tomorrow.
Pffffffftttttt.

Good Mornin, Thanks Ray for coffee, STinner for the laughs and get well soon. Been feeling a lot better lately, backache finally gone away so have manage to get a couple of projects done. Steering coupler in dodge Van, cut a hole for a heat register in the stage floor (wifes go a dance pole in that room) and printing two speaker back covers to go in the dash board of my old dodge van. Need to stiffen the mounting of the dash as the speaker are just bolted to the thin metal part of the dash, and rattle with any bass, most annouying. Speaking of 3d printing still haven't figured out how to stop the projects from moving on the table. Guess have to see if there's a forum for that.
Weather ,40mph wind storm and rain ,49F high 53 by 12. Going to be stay in house day. Stay well Y'all. G

Morning all! It is a wet grey day again out there. The rain has tapered off a bit, it was coming down in buckets when I first let the dogs out early this morning. Even still, I was jonesing to ride the ST into work today, it's been over a week since I rode, but alas, I had way too much stuff to take back into the office after a week of working from home. Tomorrow.....

It was a somewhat busy but pleasant ride up to Nanaimo to pick up my wife. We were going to meet in the Costco parking lot but when I got there it was a zoo so my wife suggested the Michaels (knick knacky arts and crafts store) parking lot which like a rookie I agreed to. Sure enough the famous words "I'm just going to duck into Michaels for a couple things, won't be long" floated on the air. An hour later.... Ah well, gave me a chance to let the dogs have a roam and empty their bladders before heading back home. Plus, she was happy and excited about what she had found for Xmas stockings and craft sessions. Hard, and cruel, to be annoyed in the face of bubbling excitement so I squashed my inner curmudgeon and made appropriate noises of amazement and appreciation.

Obo, the last couple new vehicles I bought before this last one I used a service Unhaggle.com. You plug in the vehicle you want with the options you require. They solicit offers from dealers, you choose the one you want and just show up at the dealer to pick up the vehicle. No mess, no fuss and the salespeople have told me they prefer it as well. Looks like their rates have gone up, $500, since I used it. I think it was $300 when I did but I found it worth it to avoid wasting a weekend or two with the stupid haggle dance with the salesperson or their manager.

Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys their craft, whatever it may be!
