March 32nd Eeffoc

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the late-late-March brew-up and comix, Dave.

It's 43°F in Rockville (cool enough that I've closed all the windows we'd had open for the past few days, and reverted to my long PJ bottoms, fleece sweater, and beanie to stay warm) and the rain has stopped. We expect sunny skies and a high around 55, with breezes in the 12-15 mph range and gusts up to 25 mph. The air will get gradually less active , tapering down to nearly still between noon and 1900 hours. The flow will reverse from westerly to easterly as well, somewhere around 1900 hours.

We have a landscaper coming today to make estimates on three tasks: a retaining wall, replacing a set of outdoor steps, and doing the fence construction that is the reason for the retaining wall. I've been trying to get another firm scheduled as well but they seem to limit themselves to one email message per day so it's been slow going.

Not a lot else on the docket.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, because tomorrow may be too late.

G'Day...

6°/12°C, gray overcast, no precipitation expected, but the dim light won't lighten the mood...

The usual office routine, some $ is about to go down, etc...

GF had to take the car, playing "momma's taxi", driving her ancestor to the physio...
(MIL got 2 knee transplants, is too lazy to do gymnastics on her own, but then cranky over all and everything aching... now she's forced by the doc... but you'll still never hear the end of it ;) )

have a good one!

Good morning, and thanks for the funnies to start the day, Dave.

It's cloudy and 42 in MA this morning. We're told to expect a few showers and then some sun as the temperature rises to 52, later.

Yesterday's gym trip went okay, but I never got out to the dog walk, or any walk, really.
Instead, I cleaned the guns and we headed out to the range for some pew-pew time.
Dinner, afterward.

Today will involve some more gym time, and I'll try for a walk, with or without the neighbor's dog.
It's also First Tuesday, in addition to April 1, so I'll meet up with some former coworkers for stories, beer, and dinner.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, all, and thanks for whatever is in that pot (trust NO ONE today! :p)

It's still overcast out there this morning, but conditions should soon changed to "cloudy with sunny breaks," then to "a mix of sun and clouds," and finally, to "mainly sunny" for the rest of the day. It isn't particularly warm out there, though:: -1°C/30°F with a feels-like of -7°C/19°F now, 2°C/36°F with a windchill of -4°C/25°F later. Hey, at least there's no freezing rain!!
@Whisker Bill: Good luck getting the mess cleaned up. It's incredible how much damage ice can do!! This seems to be happening almost every spring now, and in proportions reminiscent of the infamous 1998 ice storm! :(

And there will be some cooking, not starlings though…

What about four and twenty starlings, baked in a pie? (Oh wait, that's not how it goes...)

Must get a move on - too much to do, too little time. If you smell wires burning today, it'll be from the smoke coming out of my ears.
Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Early morning Dave & All, from a dark and cold, Southern Utah!

Currently @ this WAY TO EARLY morning, it is 38F and heading for 49F with threats of snow and rain for the day. But like always, I don't see anything on the ground, so I think some Weather Guesser must be having some sort of nightmare, or something. No breeze yet, but we'll be having some later, coming from the NW@ 15 to 18mph.

I woke up an hour ago and can't get back to sleep, so I thought I'd check in and see what's up for the day.

I have the AZ05 ready for a bath, due to the weather, I'm not sure if that will happen or not.

I do have a few things around here to do. One is to install a timer on our front porch, so the lights will come on and go off without my intervention.

No food or drink yet. But you can count on Pepsi(s) being on the menu.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Quick report since I'm already in the office and safely caffeinated, thank YOU Dave! A chilly and windy morning after the last few days of almost-summer weather. I didn't catch the temp on my way out the door, but Keith is probably close enough to verify. We got a bunch of rain yesterday and overnight...i did sleep quite well!

Worky work, then get home to care for the 4-legged royal family. Not much else I can think of at the moment. Gotta go, take care y'all!

Morning all! Sunny with blue sky and a bit of cloud though rain is on the way. Currently 7C, high of 11C.

Am grumpy this morning. Woke up early around 4:15 am and couldn't get back to sleep. So got up and figured I'd make the best of it, got a bunch of stuff done, all ahead of schedule. Then things went haywire, had to do this, wife wanted to talk about that, then dogs had to go out again, and was I sure they had gone? Maybe put them out one more time to make sure...then further instructions....by this time I am past my usual departure time, finally get walking to the front door and get reminded I have to pick up the dog food on the way home which means no ST for the commute. So I took the car and stewed the whole way to work.

On the upside, one of the meetings schedule for today just got cancelled so karma is balancing things out. Probably just as well, grumpy + meeting = potential for petulant tantrum and childish name calling. Will use the freed up time to balance out caffeine levels :) .

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, I think. Made it to Birch Bay yesterday to fix water leak, turned into a bit of a disaster, made a few holes in the floor looking for a cracked pipe. Hole saw cut one of the plastic pipes,OPPS. Any way was a waste of time, the real leak was the cross threaded dishwasher connection, so now have to replace the hose going into the dishwasher. Today's agenda healing Sore muscles.
Weather Mostly Cloudy 8 C high of 12 C , thanks Dave for coffee and comics. Have a good day. G

Good morning all!
Thanks for the hugs and the hot start Dave!
There will be more chainsaw work today!

That will keep me busy for a while!
At some point I’ll cut down the two damaged trees, but I have a lot of dock work to get done before that happens!
30/41 F with a cruel light N breeze, there’s plenty of sunshine but that’s not going to warm things up enough for this guy.
Take care!
WB
Apparently I didn’t hit post!
