I'm hoping to explore the eastern side of Ohio this year. We transport the bikes in our 5th wheel camper and I'm hoping someone can recommend a campground that can accommodate a 40ft camper. So far, the ones I've looked at don't look too promising. Because of course we want to be in "hilly/twisty country" :)

I don't camp, but I would think there would be plenty of RV camping spots in SE Ohio with Hocking Hills, Zaleski State Forest, Shawnee State Park, Lake Hope, etc in that area.

Great suggestion Josh. Marietta is actually a great base for exploring se Ohio with easy access to some great riding in W Va as well.

This is the National Forest campground near Marietta in SE OH:

This is another National campground off Berlin Lake in NE OH (Army Corps of Engineers I think):

These are my favorite kinds of campgrounds since they are well equipped and clean and priced right. Even better price if you have a Lifetime Senior Nat Parks Pass (usually 1/2 off).

I usually go to www.recreation.gov first before looking for other places.

I'm not much help with the camping logistics, don't camp very often in the area. But Dillon State Park northwest of Zanesville has a nice campground with some pull-through sites. We hosted OH-STOC there a few years back. Idk what the campgrounds at Burr Oak are like, but that is another great area to ride around. Close to 555, if that's on your radar.

https://shadowlakervpark.com/ looks promising (though I've never been there) and Woodsfield is in the middle of twisty nirvana! 800 and 26 are 2 amazing roads, and lots more around there!
