Re: Zumo Splash Screens

That's cool Joe. I made up this one if the folks just want the Honda logo.

Re: Let's see your Zumo Splash Screens

Bringing this one back to life, here's mine:

My name and cell number (full version on the actual splash screen).

If it is lost, I figure an honest person will call.

If it's stolen, perhaps I can set up a sting to nab the perp. :policeST:

Was my very first picture taken on Deals Gap back in June of '05.

Hi, my name is Mark, and I'm here to learn about "Splash Screen"
Have to take a look at that,. Good idea Bones!

I don't have a problem! Maybe you do, but I just came here to find out about Splash Screens!:D

I don't have enough memory to spare for something like this on my 550 :(

SD card...you can put all of North America's maps on an 8GB card along with 1000 mp3 and still have room. Free up your zumo's internal storage that way.

Hmm, would you happen to have the procedure handy? Seems like I remember reading that you have to use mapsource or basecamp to copy the maps to the SD card and it takes a couple of days to complete the whole process (just a small exaggeration).. :(

I would...I have the file Garmin sent to me, but it's too big to upload on ST-O. PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you.

EDIT: Here are the instructions from Garmin without graphics...you can probably figure it out.

1. Place SD Card in your Garmin Unit
2. Connect your Garmin to the computer with the USB cable
3. Click on Start
4. Click on Programs
5. Click on Garmin
6. Click on MapSource
7. Change the Zoom setting to 1500 miles
8. Click on the Map Selection Tool
9. Click in the upper left hand corner of the map and drag an outline that covers the whole map. When you are finished, the whole map should be highlighted in pink as shown in the pictures below:
10. Click on Send To Device
11. Make sure to click on the drop down and select the removable drive for the SD Card
12. Click Send
13. Wait till it is finished and then you may disconnect the unit from the computer
