LED Strobe Brake Light Replacement

In the video they flash, but your right nothing about flash / strobe in the Amazon description. Also, I looked at a different post on the forum here and read that a red LED bulb would be better to use than a white LED. The white LED’s tend to look more pink behind the red lense. Anyone have any thoughts on White vs. Red?
 
I'm not a fan of simply replacing the OEM bulbs - they didn't look like enough taillight/stop/indicator lights to me. I ended up adding a Redlyne strip, and two vertical led strips on the side cases, and even a Knight Rider taillight. These did not come anywhere near looking like the back end of an accessorized Harley, nor did they rival @tonythecarguy's Whelen M7, but it did make some cars stop well behind me. (Side note - I put an M7 on my DL650 and my riding buddies said it was too bright, so I put a photo film layer (cut down the light by two stops?) over it.) That M7 however, at full brightness will boost your top end speed by 17 mph. :rofl1:

For those who are not sure what I am describing, the M7 is often found on emergency vehicles, comes in a variety of colors, and has something like 155 different flashing modes built in. They are bright enough to roast a marshmallow at 7 paces.
 
I’ll be adding a Givi V47 Top Case with LED lighting kit next month, but in the mean time I’d like to upgrade the OEM bulbs.

I bought these a few weeks ago, and they work great. They'll flash a few times then remain solid red when you apply the brakes. No modifications are needed. Make sure you select the 7443/7440.

You want red. You are correct the white make it look pinkish.

I agree with the others that if you can, add extra brake lights to what's on the bike. It's a bit more work, but more lights are better than just brighter lights.
What I found with the LED tail/brake bulbs is they are brighter, but the light is more centered as the LED's are not designed for the reflector the way an incandescent bulb is.

Yes, the guy in the video I posted had the same issue. He had to flip his bulb after it didn’t light up.

Adding tail lights is easy. IIRC, I tapped into the indicator lights under the pillion seat. You will need a flashlight, and look down and back, sort of under the top case platform. You will see the back of the indicator lamps, one wire color will be the same for both, that's the ground, the other wire on each side is the power to flash that lamp. You can tap into each of those two wires and provide a ground for your aux. indicators. I got my brake light wires by looking up under the rear fender. Same deal, those two wires go to your aux. brake light.
