Cool B57 bomber plane. A newer version is till used by NASA for high altitude stuff per the internet. I've seen that one a few time over the years.

Gate was locked so best pic I could get 20150823_131433.jpg20150823_132018.jpg

I see the NH guys are trying to eat up all the ice cream so I figured we'd better get some before they head west! ;) 20150823_170631.jpg

It was with that shovel in mind, in part, that I named my bike. Whole lotta diggin' goin' on there at one time; makes for an interesting signature on Google Maps.

How did you learn of this shovel? Its been in Kansas since the early sixties I believe. BTW I just noticed this was tagged here about 6 years ago.Re-tags are permitted. Just not in the same year. If you look closely there is a full sized road grader parked under corner of this monster. I understand he had a sibling that was twice his size. Great ride that day. Just had to get out of the office. Rode 350 miles in 6 hours to pick up the old tag and place the new then back home.

I don't actually recall. Might have been on a Bike Across Kansas in 2004 or 2006, or I might have stumbled across it while surfing Google Maps looking for something else. The string of surface ponds left behind by Brutus and his clan are certainly eye-catching, after all.

Happy tagging!

A-Z contest has a provision if the tag sits for more than a month you can move your own. I don't see that provision here so I will remove it. Just wish there were a few more interested ST riders in KS.

The same here, though I do get players from VA, PA, as well as some itinerant traffic flowing between NY and FL (you know who you are... :) and I'm happy you choose to play in "my" sandbox...) The original set of MD taggers were very active for a couple years then disappeared. Dunno whether they got tired of playing, quit riding, or what.

I have been single-handedly advancing the MD A to Z game from Adamstown through, just last weekend, Jefferson.

Short ride today. Didn't move the tag far.
I don't know why it keeps turning the top one upside down.

How much cruising range do you have with the aux fuel tank?

The aux tank is 3.8 gal with the main tank at 7.2 I have 11 gal at approx 40 mpg avg. I have gone 350 miles without putting a foot on the ground. I am considering a second aux for my other ST of 8 gallons for 15.2 total.
