Fixed my electrical problem (headlights, dash lites, horn, turn signals, windshield) | ST1300 Related
60 miles from home yesterday the ground circuit problem happened again. The bike quit at a stop sign and from then on basically nothing electrical in the front half of the bike worked and the bike would not start with high beams on. The engine would start and run with the headlight dip switch on...www.st-owners.com
Plus the trauma of the head-on collision may have introduced new fail sites that an unwrecked bike wouldn't have. So your work may not end with checking the usual locations mentioned in the advice you'll find here.It sounds like you may have a potential grounding issue somewhere on the bike. I am not expert on the electrical grounding problems so maybe some one else can jump in here and help you figure this out.
You were able to get the bike started correct?

Love the bat-wing fairing on the bike, btw. Share more pictures please!

Do you have a Honda service manual yet?So been looking and slowly checking on different things... Somewhere in the wire harness from the 24 pin connector forward is a short that keeps blowing a 10amp fuse labeled position, meter, light tail...
I can't find a pinout label for the 24 pin connector... Any ideas on what wire or wires that fuse supply power to?
