New here. Just got an 06 st1300 that needs a lot of love. Starting with the instrument cluster. The LCD display does not show data after it starts... It fell when loading up and now wont even start HELP! Thank you all

Welcome! Your woes will be fixed here with all the experts. As stated, need a full charge and a bit more info on signs and symptoms. Does it turn over, kill switch, side stand position, smells flooded, tip over switch so lay it on the opposite side of the fall...lots of thoughts on this, but welcome.

Welcome from Cornwall UK! No doubt help from the 1300 experts will arrive soon..... Battery might need changing or charging for a starting point?

New battery 2 days ago. Ran then. Was loaded and on the process fell off the ramp...

It turns over and I did smell gas after cranking for about 10 seconds

Welcome from WA STate!!

The white courtesy phone is just a phone call away........
Look it up...

Welcome,
Now more info -- when you say it fell when loading up ,, did you mean it fell over while loading onto something off of a ramp or did it just tip over?

Fell over. It was getting loaded into a u haul truck and at the top of the ramp stalled and fell off it...

Okay - There is a sensor that detects if the bike is up right or not (Bank angle sensor). You will need to reset it.

Make sure the kill switch didn't get bumped when it fell over. Stand the bike up right and turn on the ignition but don't crank it over and make sure the bike is in neutral and cycle the kill switch on and off, now turn off the ignition

Now turn on the ignition switch and let the fuel pump pressure the system and try to start it.

Ok... Will try that in about an hour cuz im at work. A little back story on it, it was in a head on crash a few years ago and busted the front fairing and the mounting arm that comes off the neck. My brother bought it from a salvage website and got it to run but put cheap aftermarket lights and made a 3D shelf to mount a bat wing fairing cuz he couldn't find an aftermarket cluster to use that will work with it.

The pictures are before it fell and after...
Would like to go back to stock over time but for now want to get her back on the road... Only has 34k miles on it...

I had to edit my post please read again- need to cycle the kill switch on and off.

The bank angle sensor is in the fairing above the headlights on a stock ST.

So stand it up turn on the ignition then off or turn on the ignition and got the kill switch the turn the ignition off?

Sorry our internet got knocked off line due to storms rolling through.
Stand the bike up and turn on the ignition but don't start it.
Cycle the kill switch off and on then turn off the ignition.
Now turn on the ignition and let the fuel pressure build up a little then go ahead and try to start it. Hope this helps the issue.

The bike is fuel injected so don't try to roll the throttle to get it more gas this will only cause more problems.

Ok got it started now wants to stall when

When it started -- what was the RPM reading on the tachometer? Should have read around 3000 RPM and then let it warm up and get down around 1000 RPM.
Give it time to warm up.

Tach and speedo and LCD screen don't work. The LCD screen lights up when the ignition turns on. But then goes black.

It worked before and there is a connector on the left under the cowling that might be an instrument harness that was unplugged and put back and then the cluster stopped working

Here is a thread that may help.
