It's Thursday chaps, let's Café, the Italian Dark Roast is ready and the Almond Croissants are aplenty. Help ya'selves.
It's a resplendent morning, just below freezing to start, now 35 and blue skies, the 10 mph breeze from the W has kept the frost away. January doesn't look any better than this, just what the garlic needed too, no frost = no seperate cloves.
We'll be off to Alnwick upon the Aln after the croissant coma for a little cupboard filling.
Y'all av a gud un and remember, enjoy it when you can, all we have is today.

... instantly...

anyway, have a good day!

Mornin’ y’all. Or early morning, as it might be. Dark too, as can be expected at 4:00 AM. Thanks for the coffee, Ray.

40/56, with scattered rain for most of the day. Can’t complain. I wasn’t going anywhere, anyway. I did get out yesterday for a 3 mile drive, taking off some trash. It felt good, getting behind the wheel again. Teddy enjoyed the short ride to alleviate the symptoms of cabin fever. The sunshine and 69 degrees was very therapeutic.

I do believe it’s time for some pain medication with the coffee, and then back to bed, at least until dawn. Hopefully I’ll be off the meds after this weekend.

good morning all. thanks Ray for the coffee and croissants. 38F on the dog walk with some clouds and stars out to make a nice show up in the sky to enjoy.
I don't have much to do today but was issued orders to do the laundry as my wife will be all over Tucson today helping her oldest sister to look at home care company's that come to your home a few times a week to help out. so I jumped at the chance to stay home and do laundry.
the high should see 55F with a little wind. enjoy the day

stay safe

Hello everyone and good whatever-part-of-the-day-it-is-where-you-are

Thanks for the coffee Ray but once again (my fault, not yours) it's too late in my day to enjoy it. I'll have a croissant though, thanks for that.

It's 81°F in Luang Prabang as the sun sinks toward the land once again.

We climbed up to the hilltop stupa (burial site and shrine) where the aashes of the ancient King of Laos are buried, and where he once lived. Nice view but damned inconvenient if you needed to pop out for a six pack of beer and a pack of smokes.

We also visited a village where pottery, bricks, and roofing tiles are made, all by hand of course.

All the boats that went out for their sunset cruise are now returning, so there's a surge in river traffic. Soon enough they'll be six deep and side by side along the shore but for now it's fun to watch them glide along.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee Ray. As for the Almond Croissants, what about us folks who are allergic to nuts?

Wait... can I be allergic to myself?

It's cold here once again (still) and I'm beginning to not like it. It's this kind of weather that causes a person to burn thier house down just to get warm! -18/-25 headed to -13/-18.

Funny, I thought they were usually made from clay. Guess you use whatever's handy.

Hope everyone has a great day and stays warm and dry, unless you're doing an ice bath thing.

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray.

It's 16, going to 26 here in MA this morning. Wind will be 10-20mph.

Yesterday was gym day, and I omitted a walk, due to the temperature.
Brenda and I did some shopping, and we had dinner at home, again.

Today, I'll drop her car off at the repair place downtown, and continue to the gym on foot. She needs to have her heater core replaced, and they say that's a 2 day job.
Other than that, I've got no real plans.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Up early for me today...*grumble*...gotta get my hours in early so I can hit the car show tonight. It's "Press Night" where it's free, so I'm going as *ahem* unofficial representation for my company...that designs ships. It translates, right?

Oh, 29/-2 here if it matters. Supposed to rain later and overnight, or something like that.

It was a nice ride in to work yesterday, but sucked coming back betwixt and between all the impatient cages. I had to beep the horn at one twat sitting at the light without his lights on...he was too engrossed in his iPhone videos or whatever. The RTO mandate has brought back out the worst in DMV drivers...all equally over-entitled yet careless.

Thanks a bunch for the early cup o joe and delish almond croissants! Take care, ya'll!

"Chaps?" "Chaps?!!" I resemble that remark. Actually, no, I don't!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and croissants, Ray!

Yup, it's some cold and windy out there: -21°C/-6°F with a feels-like of -29°C/-20°F, high of -12°C/10°F with a windchill of -18°C/0°F. That's some pretty major brrr in my book. It'll be bright 'n sunny all day, though, for what it's worth. More snow this evening and tonight.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe, go safely and drink hot beverages and eat hot food if you live anywhere with a climate like ours.

Patty

Good late morning to everyone. Thanks for 2nd coffee... ok, maybe 3rd this morning. My heart doctor says to cut back... but sometimes you need to live a little dangerously. I no longer try (intentional) wheelies. Isn't that cutting back enough.
-9C/15.8F to -12C/10.4F today. Hmmm not getting any warmer as the sun breaks through the clouds. No new snow, just stuff blowing around and filling in where I shoveled.
If you can't be old and grumpy, what's the point of getting old?
Everyone have a great day.

Morning all! Dark and 3C here right now, the high will be 6C with rain arriving this afternoon. There is the possibility of some wet snow as well but mostly at the higher elevations.....until the weekend. Best get out today and get supplies in so we can just stay put all weekend.

Still a plague monkey thanks to the 'Vid so working from home again today. Hopefully this is as bad as it gets and that it won't last long. I'm jonesing for the commute to work though as I can do it on the ST and miss getting out for a ride. I may try to play hooky for a bit this morning before the rain arrives and go for spin around the area. Some people take a coffee break, some a smoke break, I think it's time to normalize taking a bike break.

Hope everyone has a great day

I saw this sunset through the front porch door and quickly grabbed my phone, but not quick enough ... it's ok tho' because I really like the subject matter.

Nothing special about today. Maybe a bit of laundry so we have all our options when packing tomorrow.

You cats be safe and yes, we still have our pumpkins hanging around.

Morning Ray & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 29F, up from 13F and heading for 47F. No breeze yet, but later we'll see the winds from the N@ 8 to 12mph.

I was able to swap out the shocks on the Highlander, but the noise was still there, so I jacked it up again and looked at the rear suspension and saw there are some rubber donuts about 4" in diameter, so I sprayed them with some grease and took it around the block again and the noise quieted down, so I'm pretty sure that's where the noise is coming from. As far as the shocks, the vehicle has over 70K miles on it, so they were due anyway. I could compress the old one with my hands.

Today, I think I'll change the oil in the :bl13: and it will be ready for the next season of riding.

Chris made us some pancakes, I washed them down with OJ. Pepsi(s) will come later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
