Good morning everyone

Not only ought there be coffee, there is coffee in fact. It's French roast, and it's in the pot right now waiting for you to come and enjoy it.

It's 56°F in Rockville and cloudy, with rain expected by around 1000, lasting for the rest of the day, and gradually falling temperatures from now forward. Starting at 56 we'll be at around 44 by early tomorrow morning. Sounds perfectly dismal, but at least it's not sub-freezing with massive amounts of snow as our neighbors to the north may still experience. Sorry about that Canadians.

Thanks to all for the get-well-soon sentiments yesterday; they seem to have helped as I'm decidedly less miserable than I was during the day Friday, and note an improvement even over yesterday where I was "marginal" for much of the day. Perhaps sometime today I'll even feel like picking up a uke and making some noises that might be mistaken for music by the more charitably inclined among us.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, because tomorrow may be too late.

"My Sunday status:
resting caffeeination... :coffee:"

cause decaf only works if you throw it at people... :cautious:

1°/4°C today, very windy, feels like -5°C though... morning was sunny, now full gray overcast... frrrrr... :freeze1:

Bit of an unfriendly awakening today...
The sound-stage of an airbase erupted before 0700hrs... 'choppa's' circling like angry insects... dafuq?

Oh my, that annual "Vienna City Marathon" is held today... I totally suppressed that...
City under siege... can't go anywhere... might explain why the folks where like panic shopping yesterday

Had a few cups, soft boiled hen-fruit, self baked bread, the usual... ready for another :coffee:
GF is roaming the inet, searching for some privacy fence... one neighbor is getting overboard with automatic lights... looks like a stadium over there...
Actually she should replace the battery of her home alarm system... but she's procrastinating... ;)
Also a proprietary concept, a pretty exotic, hard to find battery type and then some odd secret menu code for reset/clearing the info message...

Enjoy your Sunday!

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Keith. 49F on the dog walk with clear sky, a ton of stars out and a bright moon to enjoy as we walked. cleaning the back screened in porch is on the to do list. we finished with re-screening and installing all the screens on the house and started on the porch. should finish today.
its 0324 and I think I will nap until the wife gets up. our high should top out at 73F with clear sky. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee, Keith.

61 and falling. No, not me, the weather. Should hit 49 by late afternoon.

Worst week, ever. Tornado warnings, almost every day, kept me from getting much sleep. 10 storm related deaths in Tennessee this week. Flooding in many areas, plus more rain today. Last evening, the storm front reached from Houston to Ohio.

My insurance will cover the hail damage to the vehicles, with a $500 deductible, for each. So, that’s $1k that wasn’t expected. Roof inspection yesterday indicates the western facing (front) area of the roof probably needs replacing. A later inspection will confirm, when weather permits a better inspection.

In the midst of the stormy week, I lost my last remaining brother-in-law to renal failure. He was only 65 and has been recluse for his entire life. Never married and his 6 siblings all passed in recent years. I believe his niece is going to take care of the arrangements, if not, I’ll have to step up to the task of funeral planning.

As the song says, “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow…..” But I thinks that comes with a frost warning. Pffftt.

John

Good morning, all, and thanks for the hot pot o' goodness, Keith! Glad you're on the mend.

The forecast has changed a bit and we're down to only a 20% chance of rain today (I suspect the gods are taking pity on us, given what's apparently coming on Tuesday ). It's grey and gloomy, though, but that should change to a mix of sun and clouds at some point. Temps will range from the current 4°C/39°F to 7°C/45°F.

Today is the one-month anniversary of my accident. I'm off to have my bandages changed yet again this morning. I have to go every 2 days now instead of every 3; the burn is still an open wound and at risk of infection, but they seem to be keeping that at bay. I still have to take meds for the ever-present pain, but I'm trying give my body a break and stay off the "big" stuff - it's diclofenac, rather than oxy, but just as dangerous over the long term. The pain is a little more intense with the lighter drugs, but at least they take some of the edge off.
Actually, other than some discomfort, I'm not feeling too badly. The healing process is slow, but it's coming along, I can function, and I'm still very grateful that it wasn't worse. Compared to what John's just been through, I have little to complain about! ((( John )))

Okey-doke, time to get moving. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.
@STooRay: That sunset is spectacular!

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Keith. Glad you're feeling better.

It's cloudy and 40, rising to 51 with a little more rain this morning.
It'll become partly cloudy this afternoon, though.

Yesterday we got rain, but we went shopping to the local big box store for odds and ends.
Dinner was at our favorite BBQ place, and then back home for the evening.
I got a call from the shop where the Wing is stored, and they say that the recall was performed, but that the bike's cranking a bit slowly. They'll check that out tomorrow. It supposedly had a new battery installed, so that's a little concerning.

Today, we'll hang out for a bit and then dinner.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, it's 5 am here on the Wet coast,or as some say left side. Dexamethasone made it hard to fall asleep again, finally did at 3 am so two hours so far, bladder needed draining so will go back to bed soon, thanks Keith for coffee which I will have later . Sorry To hear about the brother in law,Nashcat . See Y'all later. G

Short and sweet today... not the coffee, that's gotta be black - thanks Keith - just my morning hello.

Got a call last night there is a burger store down in Arlington TN, so I'm off to see what I can do for them. Somewhere near Memphis one of my longer trips at about 4hrs one way. In all this stormy weather, should be fun. John already has given us the previews.

Not a bike day while I'm hauling a server monitor, 2 switched, a router, extra hard drives and my tools. Oh, and did I mention the weather...?

Glad you're feeling better Keith, and just last night I was thinking Patty's foot should be lots better after these few weeks. I was hoping for quicker healing. Sorry Pats, still praying for ya.

Let's go for a swim.

On the interstate.

A leisurely Sunday for me, thanks for the 2 cups , Keith! Though the Prince and Princesses were persistent, I managed to sleep until 0730 today. Royalty fed, I got to sit, sip, and eat a little brekkie whilst reading...the comics. How quaint! Shameful they are now a microscopic version of their glory back in my Calvin & Hobbes era and squozed into the back of the Style section instead of its own, but it's nice to sit & enjoy a bit of levity on occasion.

63F/17C and today I have a plan to make a hand truck for my utility dump trailer so it has four wheels instead of two. I use it more as a wheelbarrow than my actual wheelbarrow but a PITB to roll by hand. Assuredly, my plans will go out the window with the first cuts, but I want this done. Also need to stuff a tube into a rider mower tire and paint another wheel, but I'm tempering expectations. At least the sons bike's battery took a charge so it might still have life.

Welp, time to get a'goin'. May all of you in need of healing, do so quickly. Take care y'all!

Good morning again, got my daily chore of opening the Air Park gate, so yeah I'm up again. Boiled eggs for breakfast . Figured out I might not have cooked my Omelettes or the sausage long enough to kill bacteria. Stomach finally feeling okay. Home Depot visit on schedule for today need to get plywood for the the trailer floor that I made holes in. Tomorrow plan to go to Birch Bay for the day and do the installation of said plywood and install kitchen cabinet doors, got to let Princess back in, back in a moment. I'm BACK, cool emoji, weather 10 C /50 F high big whopping 13 C/ 55 F and Raining. That emoji reminds must oil my outback hat, good thing to do on a rainy day. Okey enough blahbering, have a good day Eh, G
Where did the emoji go was a smile face with cowboy hat, wonder what happened, doesn't stay on the posting.

Morning all! Grey and wet here, the rain is really coming down at the moment. 10C right now and that is apparently as warm as it's going to get all day.

I am sorry to hear about everyone's ills, pains and losses. That really sucks and for those who are ill, may it heal or pass quickly. John, sorry to hear about your brother in law, hopefully you have good memories of him.

Not sure what's on today. Took the younger dog to the vet yesterday for shots and a quick check up, then cut all the grass, got a start on the window washing etc. so I think today might be a take it easy kind of day before the fever pitch of the work week starts up again tomorrow. I had considered swapping out the winter tires for the summer ones but it will have to wait for a dryer day.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Greetings from Spring Hill, TN.

It's just a little rain ....

You cats be safe and that means not being in your car when the tornado passes by.

Looks like you picked a cloudy day to visit. I live only 5 miles west of there and we saw weather like that all of last week.
