Good morning all. Black and hot Italian Roast coffee is in the pot and some breakfast cookies are on the counter please help yourselves. Between my knee complaining about the new round of PT and the old brain not shutting down for the night, I'll make the coffee this morning.28 chilly degrees here in central NY heading to 47 with more clouds again today. Have a good day all and be safe out there. Later!

"Don't care what day it is...
Its early...
I'm grumpy...
I want coffee... :coffee:"

<yawn!> still totally jet-legged... darn DLST...
ditto ze GF, making a fuzz like a teenager while trying getting her out of bed...
at what age will that 'pre senile bed escape' set in again?

Yeah, can't wait to retire...
Cause then I too will get into my car first thing in the morning,
to drive around r e a l slow and make everyone late for work... :devilish:

6°/13°C today, overcast, more Sahara dust, hence kinda dim, like on Mars or so...

Office, I'm circling the wagons...

Friend of mine, entrepreneur in IT security, owning a 2011 Dodge RAM, intended to replace it this year, just cancelled the order after learning the level of data-mining their new model has grown into...
G. Orwell would grow and aneurysm...

have a great day!

Good morning, everyone. Thanks, Peter.

The fingers didn’t want to work right when I got up, so I figured some weather was on the way, but I didn’t expect 3 days of weather alerts. Wind today, 25 with gusts to 45, then rain and severe thunderstorms for Thur and Fri, with flood warnings. I guess the warm temperature (61/80) is fueling the storms.

The storms that kept me up Sunday night, have been confirmed as 2 tornados in the county. One passed within 2 miles of my daughter’s house.

Good morning everyone

Yesterday's hijinks notwithstanding, we're no definitely and solidly into April. I've got a pot of French roast brewed up and ready to share, so let's get to it, shall we?

It's 40°F (feels like 35) and mostly clear (allegedly) in Rockville, expected to reach 50 and turn mostly cloudy.

Yesterday proved to be a splendid day for firewood acquisition. I helped myself to a very small fraction of the large pile in the neighbor's back yard (by his invitation; I'm not a pirate) and hauled it home to be split and stacked. AS with any job worth doing, it required the purchase of a new tool: I replaced the balky, temperamental two-stroke Craftsman chain saw given to me by a different neighbor with an easy-to-use, no-muss-no-fuss EGO model. I anticipate years of good service from it.

Once the larger pieces had been cut in half to make them of a length friendly to the Solo Stove, I started splitting. About half of what I brought home has been split so far; the rest will happen today assuming my back can take the unaccustomed abuse. That reminds me: after I hit the "Post thread" button I need to go take a naprosyn tablet...

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, because tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, everyone, and thanks for the coffee start, Peter.
Thanks, also, to Keith for refreshing the pot.

It's sunny and 29 in MA this morning, staying mostly sunny as the temperature rises to 48, later.

Yesterday's gym visit went okay, but my knee is still a bit sore after my leg day routine. Ice and compress helped some.

Our First Tuesday event went well, in spite of the lack of Guiness (!).
We had a surprise visit from our former boss, and we took a few trips down memory lane. A few of us worked at DEC as well as Bose together, so the trip was longer than usual.

Today, I've got an appointment for a check-up at the VA, and maybe I'll attack the VFR's horn issue.

@motomac, please wish Carole our best for her surgery.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee and refill, Peter and Keith!

The crazy transition weather continues. The sky appears to be pretty overcast right now, but we should have some sunshine this morning, and a mix of sun and clouds for most of the rest of the day. It's going to start snowing at around 7 pm, and it looks like it'll come down pretty hard until about 1 am, when it will morph into freezing rain for a couple of hours. Then it will turn into rain, and we'll get quite a lot of that for a few hours before it continues as "light rain" pretty much all day tomorrow.
Yo-yo temps, too: the number spread for today is -6°C/21°F (feels like -11°C/12°F) to 1°C/34°F (will feel like -3°C/27°F), but tomorrow's high will be 16°C/61°F.

@motomac: Best of luck to Carole on her surgery, let us know how she's doing. Sending you both hugs.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

An annoying start to my day. Part of my commute is a walk or bicycle ride from my parking to my building. Yesterday I rode in and and came out to find my rear tire flat. Bummer I thought, but they have a hand pump for public use at the racks, so I walked it back, pumped it up, and rode to my car. I inspected my tire for punctures but saw none. Whatever.. I loaded my bike and went home. Today, I expected to have a flat tire again since it went flat in just 8 hours yesterday...but no, it was fine. So...someone messed with my bike. With everyone RTO the racks are fullfull. I had to squeeze my little bike in and move someone's hanging helmet, not their bike, THEIR HELMET. But how petty can an adult be???

So, the coffee today really does prevent murder, thanks Peter and Keith! I'm trying to not let it consume me, but the last few commuting days have been difficult with all the terrible drivers and their incredible audacity, entitlement, and rudeness. Make it a double shot!

50F/10C and expected to stay cloudy. Had volleyball game tonight but it was cancelled, furthering my frustration. Hope to get stuff done in teh garage and my basement office instead. Time for my lunch and jazz band rehearsal. Take care y'all!

Morning Peter & All from a Wintery Southern Utah!

Currently it is 35F, up from 25F and heading for a high of 43F. A slight breeze now, and later, we'll see the winds out of the N @ 7 to 8mph. A threat of snow is ongoing today. Yesterday, we got some as I was heading for the store. But all it did was get the ground a "little" damp. I expect the same out of any we get today.

Yesterday, I moved the AZ05 bike frame off the lift, and brought the tractor out to lift the engine on to the lift. So, the engine is in a position where I can now start working on it.

I'll move the frame outside at some point (probably not today) and give it, that bath I've been threatening it with.

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) to follow.

Anyone :bk13: (what the AZ05 will be), have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Would have to buy a new charger if went for lifepo…
Amazon spring sale ended just last week...
NOCO Genus 5 charger would have come for € 65,- then... (considered getting a 2nd one for the shop...)

The € 50,- no-name cell will likely last only one season...

Good morning, Thanks Peterz and Keith for coffee, hopefully stomach okay with coffee soon, been on the throne most of the night. Some day I will figure out what is causing me stomach problems. So will be staying home today, wife has gone to Birch Bay to measure up the holes in the trailer floor, so I can get plywood cut to size to patch holes. Pipe for dishwasher is going to be expensive $254 for a plastic pipe! Wife said she will hand wash dishes, now that we have water in the trailer without a flood. Thankfully the shut off tap to the dishwasher seals 100 percent.
Weather, mixture of Sunny and Cloudy 8 C High of 11 C by 2 o'clock. Now what to do for breakfast, okay Y'all stay alive and have a great day. G
