How to send a PM

New member here, I would like to send a PM to John Heath re a brake problem.
Can anyone explain how i do this as when i try to look at his profile it says he limits his contacts. In the RAN he says PM him.

Upper, right corner, blue ribbon below banner, select the small [envelope] icon...
Select [start new conversation] in the popup, enter the member's handle [jfheath]... etc...

You can also hover your cursor over the screen name of a member who has posted (screen name under their avatar). Click on start conversation....

That is because you have now made a post. The security features prevent you from sending private messages until you have made at least one post, presumably to make sure that you are human and not a bot trying to harvest and scam forum members.
