I took a ride with a valve cover access panel removed the other day. It
was in the low 40's and I had added a little engine oil before the ride and
left the panel off in case it needed a little more oil when I got back and
re-checked the oil level.

There was a good amount of welcomed heat now hitting my knee and shin.
I stopped and took the other side off and it was pretty amazing to me how well it worked.

It's an easy neat trick. I'm sure I'm not the first to discover this but I hadn't read about it before.

I've been very tempted to cut holes in the lowers, just in front of my feet. I would think plenty of heat would come out of there! I just haven't found any panels cheap enough on ebay!

Have considered cut out on panels to install an auto vent outlet with directional capability, seal with insulation during summer months. Anyone ever done this?
