Recently purchased a 2010 ST1300 which has the stock rubber handlebar grips. Would like to add foam grips for long rides. Anyone have any suggestions on what to buy and how to install?

I was going to recommend these as they're were my go to for any bike I had - from Grab-On:

But it looks like they've been discontinued. I can't find them in stock at the more popular outlets.

There are various foam sleeves like Grip Puppies. With the Deluxe Road grips not available, I'd consider something like the Grip Puppy sleeve over BMW sport grips. My search-fu is weak at the moment but there should be examples here. Not foam but they have a palm swell that fits my hands well and with foam covers might suit your needs.

Not a great pic but you'll note the wider portion at the outer end with the smaller bit at the inner end. I've found these to be very comfortable but that's a somewhat subjective area.

I don't like Honda's factory grips at all though I used them for years on earlier bikes I owned. Then I started trying aftermarket and stuck with the Grab-On Deluxe until the BMW Sport Grip.

Re: installation: Foam sleeve would slide over most grips with a little work. As I installed the BMW sport grips the factory grips were removed. An air compressor with a pointy nozzle can be used to blast are between the bar//tube and grip to allow it to be easily pulled off. Or just cut the grip. I used a cheap travel size can of hair spray on the bars and in the new BMW grips. They slid on easily and has been rock-solid ever since.

The Honda grips are too small in diameter. I use Grip puppies. They usually last a couple of years. They make the grips more comfortable.

I have grip puppies. I bought the original grip puppies once but not sure of the brand I have now. I also have them 2 layers deep just to make them a bigger diameter. They used to be made for 1" bar size and maybe 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 bar size.

Another vote for tennis racket tape. You can make the grip as thick as you want and lasts a long time.
