I'm planing to replace the originals brake bulbs on my st1300-06 for the flashing / strobe type to make my riding safer. Making my bike more visible during the night stops.
Any suggestions on brand, number or model ?
thanks .

I use Superbright LED’s almost exclusively for the bike lighting. You can check out a post on the topic here, #13

They also have a very inexpensive flasher for the bulbs, here. This one works very well with LED bulbs.

In my case, I’m putting LED’s everywhere, have a Coo Case with LED bulbs and I’m adding Hyperlite 3 way’s to my side bags. As a result, I’m using the Hyperlite controller to flash all those bulbs...

I bought a bulb that strobes a few times and goes solid. I think I got it at Superbright LEDs. Nothing to install but the bulb. Search around on their site and see what they have . LED bulbs are updated frequently.

Mine is full LED the Whelen lightbar flashes as well as the 2 Hyperlites. The tail lights are LED but they don't flash.IMG_20180829_130751647.jpgIMG_20180829_151255764.jpg

I'm running a krator pw13001 strobe and jdm astar bulbs they work very well. You need to be careful with licence plate illumination as it will be red with these bulbs. I picked up a white light from amazon that mounts to the licence plate bolts to get back to white plate illumination. I believe the bulbs were recommended in a previous thread

cjames, thanks for the tip, this is what I'm looking for.
Did you install it already ? I'm asking because in some cases it triggers the fault light on the dash.

I installed them over a year ago and am very pleased. No fault light.

I order from Ebay this Alla Lighting 7443 Legal Safety LED Strobe Flashing Backup|Brake|Signal White 2x , to replace the brake lights, any idea what bulb of LED I must order to replace the turn signals lights.
I'm asking before I disassemble the rear lights. To do it just once.
thanks for the help

Haven't done this yet, but you can access the turn signal bulbs from under the seat. no need to disassemble the rear lights.

I have pretty small hands and the turn signal bulbs are a PITA to get to. But I did get all of mine switched out from just going in under the seat.

I have removed them from their housing. Yah, PITA!
You can reduce some of the pain by coating the o-rings of the tail light sockets with silicone grease. Remembering the orientation of the sockets as you remove them helps get them back in more easily.

I ordered the LED replacement bulbs, for the brake lights. I saw that they can't be reach from behind, the light has to be removed in order to do it.
Once I will remove the light I like to replace the turn signal bulbs also for LED's.
The problem for me is that I don't know if they are the same as the brake ones, and I need that info to order them
Anybody knows ?
Any help will be appreciated.

7440 in amber for the turn signals. You can use 7443s also. (7440 are single element, like 1156, 7443 are dual element like 1157)

You don't have to remove the light assembly. You can remove the seat and replace all four bulbs from there.

No it doesn't unless you have really huge hands. Really huge. Accessing the 1300's turn signal bulbs from under the seat is pretty easy. Removing the sockets takes a bit of strength so put some silicone grease on the o-rings.

The brake light/tailing bulbs (the same bulb does both funtions) in neigh impossible for me from under the seat. You drop the rear fender/license plate assembly (four bolts) and get to them from underneath. As with the turn signal socket mind you you go. Noting the orientation as you remove them make reinstalling them easier/quicker.
