So I bought some LED strip lights to install in my mirror housings, and upon testing they flashed too fast, so obviously I need to change the flasher relay to an LED friendly unit.
Can anybody recommend or provide a link to a suitable unit, preferably on Amazon?
Maybe one with an adjustable flash rate?

You shouldn't need to; they should flash normally when you plug the mirror lights back in if they're the same bulbs they were before.

Josh_ST's link is to the same flasher I used in my ST1300 and it works well.

Here's a link for that same one same as superbright's, but from Amazon CA.

It's plug and play, from Amazon, but non-adjustable.

But is there something we don't know? Adding some LED strips to incan blinkers shouldn't cause hyper-flash. But if you have LED blinker this relay will work.

I’m in Canada so Amazon.ca is perfect.
But you raised a good point,

I disconnected my wiring connector, (and hence the incandescent bulbs), and tested an LED strip by directly attaching it to the connector.
It blinked quickly. Perhaps If I tap into the same positive wire while leaving incandescent bulb connected there may be enough load to allow the LED to flash normally?

PS just read Larry‘s comment after I posted this. I think he’s right. I’ll give it a try.

Thanks Larry, I think you nailed it.
With the OE bulbs plugged back in the load should be enough to allow a normal flash rate.
Makes sense.

I have an LED strip on the lower edge of the mirror housing under the mirror. This is so that I can see when the indicators are on - they are wired in parallel to the normal bulb. They work fine.

Why ? I cannot see the indicator lights on the dash from my lofty position - they disappear behind the grey shelter / hood / top shelf that juts out above the dash.

I’ve been looking for an audible beeper to wire in so that I can hear if I’ve left them on.
Still on the hunt.

Have you used one before? I used to have one of those and it drove me nuts in short order.

It's your call but you might consider a visual indication. There used to be a thread regarding using 2 12V LEDs wired to the turn signals and placed on the leading edge of the top of the dash but it's gone now.

The 2 "12V" LEDs were LEDs with a resistor added so they were "12V ready". Drill two holes in the leading edge above where the factory indicators are and you have highly visable turn indicators. They also reflect on the windshield. While not blinding at night they can easily be seen in the daytime in any light. Well maybe except that of 1000 suns.

I did it but used only one 12V LED mounted in the center of the edge because. if it flashed all I had to do was push the turn signal button regardless of what blinker I left on. It was a cool mod called the ACL Turn Signal Reminder Thingy!!!

The LEDs were something like this but available singly. One can roll there own.

I installed a rear-facing LED strip in the mirror housing. It's bright enough and obvious enough that I don't forget to turn off the signal.

However, I've gotten so used to being clued in by that reminder that when I'm on my other bike which doesn't have the LED's, I do sometimes forget to turn it off. I don't have a solution for that yet.
