F1 sensor light comes on when cold (45 degrees or colder) after warm up and engine is off for a few minutes, when engine is restarted the light remains off. Can I replace the sensor myself? where is it located? What does it control?
There is no FI sensor.
The FI light is equivalent to the check engine light in a car. It is telling you that it has detected that there is something wrong. It does this by setting and storing a trouble code in the computer (ECM) and turning on the FI light to alert you of a problem.
You need to see what trouble code has been stored in the computer and what it relates to.
See below on how to check and clear the fault codes.
