Finally... they're here... the planet is safe now...

(heavy) brake-pads wrapped in colorful paper-bags...

Not valid for transport/shipment though, as they burst fully open... and not exclusively at the dedicated perforations...

Anti-squeak insulators dislodged, tabs bend, etc...

I'm so happy... so is my GF (who's NT700VA those are for)...
we both literally cheered when the pads tumbled out the packing's, hittin' the floor, leaving marks, barely missing my toes in the process...

could s o m e o n e throw some brains down on this planet... pleeeeeeezzzz... :cautious:
I mean we wrap paper-straws in plastic foil and import(!) disposable wooden cutlery from China (on crude oil freighters of course)... brilliant... just brilliant...

I think the 'zombies of correctness' have already eaten most of the brains there were ... ;)

At least when they fell on the floor they didn't brake.

Or did they?

I know, "Oh stop it Obo."

Well, at its core the intentions of a packing are:

- protect the goods
- protect the handling
- keep assorted items together

they failed in all of them there...

(packing's of the a/c units/component we sell must undergo a drop test of 3ft/1m because drivers and fork-lift operators can't be held accountable for handling with care...pfffff...)

Mmmmm, thats not good. I have received many sets of pads for the 1100s in the same packaging. From CMSNL, Fowlers of Bristol and David Silver. Not one of those companies stuck an address label on the original packing, they all enclosed them in exterior packaging. Methinks your supplier needs to learn how to despatch goods

Unless those are actually knock-offs....

Much easier to make knock off brake pads than say NGK spark plugs!

Nah, they came in a big cardboard box, filled with stuffing, just won't help if the pad-bags don't withstand the G-forces occurring inside the panel-van of ze postal service... ;)

Nah, all 3 of those are extremely reputable suppliers of Honda parts. Must stress that the parts come in their original packaging, but placed in a protective extra layer!

@ST1100Y What do they do, pick up the box and give it a good shake like children at christmas

You don't order anything from this dealer. If you're going to order in Germany, please do so from this dealer.

Everything I don't order from Webbike or cmsnl comes from there. I've only had the best experiences with them. https://www.my-bikeshop.de/

holm

Nice try...

06455MCWH01, PAD SET,R FR (NAS); my price: € 55,28,-... your price: € 62,57,-
06456MCWH01, PAD SET,L FR (NAS); my price: € 61,12,-... your price: € 69,52,-
only for the rear pads, yours might safe me massive € 3,-...
BTW: isn't that Heimo, the fella who used to run the run the German ST forum?

It's not the g-forces , it's the sudden stop.
Which I was referring to...
Normally the Japanese are Asperger-origami-masters when it comes to packing things...
Why not some supports shaped out of corrugated cardboard...
Or seal them in a pouch made of their stiff bubble-wrap, like they do it with various bearings, t/stats, radiator caps, even larger bolts...
