Good Morning from NC!
I've got a pot o' hot from Louise's Coffee Shop today; "Early Riser" - it'll take the rust off a bumper!
"Bold, and with the strength of 10 men."
Well, that's the sign in the shop anyway.
Louise also had some fresh donuts from Arnold's, so I grabbed them for us.

I've solved the mystery of the JD spindle and cleaned everything up.
But today is a visit to another friend's machine shop for some lathing work.
'Goal today is to make one good pulley from two different pulleys.
The end result will be a stacked pulley.
Life's a grooooove, man! (see what I did there?)

Hopefully we'll have the JD running today or tomorrow once I get through with the welding.

It's not too cold today on the prairie.
50 Heits in NC and some rain might join me in today's festivities.

What's up for today?

Y'all have a Winterfull day!

good morning all. that sounds like some wall paper peeling coffee you got there . I'm game to try. thanks Nick. got to pass on the donuts as I have a blood draw this morning at 0830.
52F on the dog walk with a clear sky full of stars to enjoy. I got a short ride in yesterday. maybe another one this afternoon as the high temp should reach 78F. enjoy the day

stay safe

Thx Mr Nick!
As long as you’re not singing, all is appreciated mucho!
I hate when people are singing in the morning.

A bad night with heavy wind shaking our house.
But now it’s quite calm, 15mph, 10˚c/50f, grey, showers.

Picking up Peter in a bit, but first some network fixin, and then some dinner prepping.

Have a good one!

Thanks for taking the plunge, Ed! Rust remover and beverage all at the same time!

Wait! What about yodeling?

No singin here, just drinkin, but there is a strong ferrous oxide after taste, meh.
38 to 43, cloud and light winds, It might be wet, pffffffftttttt. Snow over 2000 foots.
After a little wine retail therapy, ( that's not drinkin whilst you shop, it's shoppin to drink but at a later time. How much later is variable) I'll be doing some'at or t'other. It may include wood colouring, french polish, not French Polish, linseed oil and methylated spirits.....but not for drinkin.
Variables may include, time, food, relatives, socialism, wars, relatives.......oh yes, forums.
It's variable.
Av a gud un and remember, don't mix your bottles up.
Pffffffftttttt.
Upt.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the strong brew Nick.

"Bold, and with the strength of 10 men."
Well, that's the sign in the shop anyway.

Does that refer to the coffee, or to Louise? Hmmmmmm...

It's a very wet and rainy 50°F in Rockville, with occasional lightning flashes and accompanying rolls of thunder. Really? In late November??? Anyhow, a high of 60 with early rain followed by clouds then maybe sun by late morning and into the afternoon is apparently what's in store for us.

Mickeysoft has recently changed the look of their Windows weather app. Not sure if I like it or hate it:

Mrs. Fun has arranged for me to take her to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory today, so that we can pick up the desserts we're contributing to Thursday's food fest at our niece's in-laws place in Virginia.

Other than that, I got nothin'. Life is good.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Nick.

Speaking of making 2 gears into 1, I found this oddity - multi-ratio gearing.

Looks very odd, but it works!

Rode to work this morning. 4C (says 1C but they lied....) and cloudy. Headed to a cloudy 8C as the high. Had to watch the intersections and turns as the salt trucks have been out over the past few days.

Other than that, I've got nothing exciting to talk about, so I'll cut it short here.

Enjoy your day!

Obo.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the...um...robust coffee, Nick! I'll have one of those donuts as well, ta very much!

We have some rather icky transition season weather on the docket today. A lot of Montreal commuters will be making their way to work in freezing rain, and many have procrastinated on getting their winter tires put on, so that should be interesting. Or not. Looks like my area will just get rain this morning, and the precipitation will continue all day/night, with bouts of mixed rain/snow later on and possible snow in the wee hours. Right now, the temperature is 1°C/34°F with a feels-like of -3°C/27°F, and it will only inch up to 5°C/41°F with a feels-like of 1°C/34°F. 'Tis a decidedly indoor kind of day.

"Oh no," he cried, "It's the Bucket woman! She'll sign at me! She always signs at me!"

And on that note, I wish you all a great day. Stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee and doughnuts, Nick.

43/53 with sun, this afternoon. Next week will see temperatures in the teens. Ouch.

Today might be a good day to straighten up the garage. Gotta find a place for all the tools I picked up at Harbor Freight yesterday. I bought a new mechanic’s creeper, so oil may get changed in one of the vehicles, just so that I can use the new creeper.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee and donuts, Nick.

It's cloudy and 36 in MA this morning, rising to 45 with rain forcast for later.

Yesterday, I re-arranged the shed to store the garden tractor and stage the snowblower at the roll-up door.
I also removed the batteries from said tractor and VFR.
No walk or gym, though.

Today's plan is to borrow our neighbor's dog for a walk in the "Outback".
I've also got a followup visit to the Opthamologist this afternoon.
The eye has healed to the point where I'm mostly ditching my prescription glasses, since the prescription for that eye is off. I still need them for reading, but most times, I can get by without them. I've got my browser set to 110%, and can see the text just fine.

Have a great day,
Steve

G'mornin! Thanks for making my nuts prickly pears with that Joe, yeouch! And I spy a Boston cream for me, thanks! Rainy at the moment in SoMD but warmer than yesterday. Hoping it clears out soon so I can ride in to the office, but the radar isn't looking good. After this it's a 5 day weekend for me... Oh what shall I do???

Take care y'all!

Good morning all!
Thanks for the yummy start Nick!
I’m off! I bought a complete set of takeoff tires for my Ranger.
Sellers says only about a 100 miles on them.
The bad, 3 hour drive! Still well worth it, at that price!
Later!
Big hugs for everyone, especially for that one, yes you know who I mean!

Excellent Steve!!

Morning all! Mostly cloudy here with blue sky and some sun off to the West. Currently 4C which the weather network says feels like 1C. The high will be two degrees further up the scale to 6C. At least it looks like there will not be rain for the ride home, though as always, subject to change depending upon the vagaries of Mother Nature.

I bought a bottle of Nikwax Visor spray yesterday on Amazon after struggling with vision on the ride in yesterday with heavy rain. I looked around downtown for something that would work but no one stocks anything that might do the trick. The Nikwax has pretty good reviews and is water based so a bit more environmentally friendly. I mostly like that it doesn't come with a strong odour. It arrives tomorrow sometime so will find out in due course if it works or not.

Renos proceed apace, we are near the end. The contractors say they have done larger renos but not one that has had such a dramatic change from start to finish. I guess that's a good thing right? Anyway, they have done an awesome job and on time and budget. Now we just have to move stuff back in......best purchase the extra strength, extra large Advil. It's a good pain...I keep telling myself......

Hope everyone has a great day and remember to wax on....wax off...or wax poetic!

Morning all......

Mmmmm donuts......

Overcast and low 30s here today. Getting the house lit up with seasonal lights the last couple days.
Just a string or three per day....... keeps the wife away. Or something like that.....

No bike riding here, a little too cool for my bones. Time for it to be washed, waxed on, waxed off and covered.
Then it is time to wax on......my skis....... Hill is open and has good coverage.

Remember.. keep your tips up,
T

Morning Ray & All from overcast & COLD, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 45F, up from 40F, and heading for 50F, with possible rain. We've got weather, all around us, but we haven't gotten anything yet.

Other than picking up a few items for the tractor shed electrical, yesterday, I didn't do anything to speak of.

As for today, looks like some rearranging of furniture in the great room, which requires me to relocate the connectors on the modular sofas.

I still need to get out there and get that electrical taken care of, but with the threat of rain, I think I'll wait.

Hot cereal with toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

they have done an awesome job
We suffered along with you as you decried the contractors you had the misfortune of hiring, and firing, prior to latching on to this one. I assume that you will also share your good fortune with us through some photos of what a good job from a good contractor looks like.
