Ducksday Apr. 10th, 2025 AD...

There is always (well, often) the risk of miscreants and vandals doing stuff to the bike or belongings, helmet or otherwise.
I stand to it, my helmet comes along with me... that Neotec came for nearly € 700,-... the SENA SLRII added another € 200,-... :cautious:
GF with her Schuberth C3 pro acts in the same manner...

So yeah, after my last posting, saw Sadlsor's posting with the pictures of his helmet lock installed. So edited the last post. Put a few of the locks on my Wishlist from Amazon. Kind of like the combination lock that mounts on the handle bars, the less keys in my pocket the better. I must be a blessed person as I have never had any one tamper with my bikes while I'm on a ride. Thanks Lord, G41uQqDuiqfL._SS135_.jpg

Morning all! It's grey and overcast with rain forecast for later. It's 8C now, 13C for a high later.

Drove into work today in the car as I have to pick my wife up after work at a dance competition. Our daughter has a number of the classes she teaches in a competition so my wife is going to watch. Apparently, if I get there early enough after work, I too can watch one of the numbers. On a completely unrelated note, in law school they teach us how to navigate ethical dilemmas (no really....stop laughing....), not sure how to resolve this one though :D.

I'm off to the Courthouse library this morning as I haven't been able to find what I need through the online search engines so it's time to kick it old school and crack a couple books. Not to mention avail myself of the extremely competent and helpful librarians. Their eyes always light up when presented with a thorny research issue. I kind of get it, I'm the same way when presented with a twisty bit of road.

Hope everyone has a great day and doesn't mistake one bucket for another....sorry, just taking the piss!

Good evening all... late as usual. Today has been cool with beautiful blue skies. We've has that for nearly a week now, amazing.

Well, my outfit started suffering from the 1100s clutch problems.... very soft lever when hot... which equates to town/city centres in slow traffic... just when a sidecar outfit most needs its clutch. So, having read, read and re-read the threads on here I bit the bullet and ordered a new slave cylinder and bits. Now, those who have followed me will know that I hate, hate, hate mechanicing. However, I thought I'd give it a go... wasn't looking forward to having to loosen the header pipes, nor messing around with the bleeding

So, lower fairing off... check the 'awkward' bolt.... hmmmm loads of room... so three bolts undone, old slave cylinder disconnected and removed... god, what a load scum in there  cleaned out and gasket remains liberally soakedwith brake cleaner then pryed off with a small stanley knife. New gasket fitted, new slave cylinder bolted on, hydraulic hose reconnected and off to bed. This morning went like this. Refill the the clutch system with brake fluid, bleed then check. Now, having read the threads I thought I was going to have to 'crack' open the line at the master cylinder to get a solid feel, but no..... brake fluid in (I have a vacuum type bleeder pump) pump the fluid through and close the bleed nipple. Yee gods, I have a solid clutch lever... this is just too good to be true.... refit the lower fairing and test ride into Cheltenham to see if the lever goes soft in heat and traffic.... nope all fine :)

Where have I gone wrong ;)
