My new Corbin seat arrived, leather seating surface with stiching, not a good thing left out in the rain overnight on a tour, or during a heavy downpour. Went to the local dollar thrift store and bought a rain poncho for 3 bucks, along with some corded elastic that is used for waistbands for making or repairing clothing, a buck 81. My SO is handy with the sewing machine so she cut out a pattern of the seat and sewed a sleeve all the way around what was to become the bottom of the cover, and installed the cord. What you end up with is a large funny looking shower cap for about 5 bucks, I think they want 40 bucks if you purchase it from them. There was enough material to make 2 so I have a spare in case this one fails at some point in time, doesn't take up any room and will protect the leather seat just fine. Danny :biker:
