Took the '11 out for a ride this afternoon. First day this year where it's been in the 60s, so I had to take advantage of that! Unfortunately, my route involved going over Lolo pass (western Montana), and wow, she was downright chilly up there! The n
ice warm sun was replaced by clouds and serious winds (from every direction). And of course I was just wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and my "summer" mesh jacket. Duh! About froze my keester off. Grateful for the fairly good wind protection and what little heat the engine was putting out. Once I came off the pass it warmed right back up again. Lesson learned... but I'm sure it will happen again next year.
Here's a pic at the visitor's center at the top of the pass (around 5,200 ft).
