Good morning everyone

My SIL is a Keurig user; there's a big load of Kirkland brand Breakfast Blend capsules waiting for you to enjoy.

It's 30°F in Lansdale PA and clear (I suppose; at this hour I'm not inclined to go out and confirm it). We'll have sun and a high of 62.

I'll finish the patio today, I expect.

My next older brother called yesterday evening to share the news that our other brother (our parent's oldest child) had dropped dead between 0500 and 0600 Eastern time that morning. He was 74 and the poster child for healthy living.

I'm absolutely stunned, and still mentally numb from the abrupt departure of one of the biggest lights in my personal sky.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it NOW, TODAY, because tomorrow may be too late.

"Caffeine...
caffee into the body..."

My condolences Keith...
Seems that lifestyle is no factor when your ticket is up...
And you're right, time is precious... or as a friend of mine (tank battalion commander o.d.) grimly puts it: ...beware, the impacts coming closer...

Just last weekend, while working on my ST1100 in the shed, it hit me: what will/has to happen with all my tools, parts and infrastructure if I keel over...
Will my GF have access to recover her stuff outta there in time?
What about the rest of my belongings?
Seems I should make a legal appointment...

-3°/6°C, sonny, haze blue skies, a crispy day....

And while some are jumping out of bed like sliced bread out a toaster, we might need a different approach with age:

office, a tad slow... and also here the thoughts: what if they go bankrupt... how to get employment and financial security again...

regards

Keith ... Thanks for being so free with the SIL's coffee pods. A cup or two should kick start me well this AM.

My condolences to you and yours. We never really know how long we have. A friend turned 81 a couple days ago. He is the first male in 3 generations on his family branch to make it past 72.
As I am the eldest remaining person in my clan I too occasionally wonder if I am leaving any legacy and how or if my treasures will be deemed worthy of being divided among those remaining.... or how long my memory will last.

For the good news, one of my brothers married almost a year ago. She had/has a quite young son. Today my brother completes the formal adoption process. I need to leave in a couple minutes as it is at least a 3.5 hour drive so I can witness the event.

Be safe, be careful and remember to speak often to those you care about as "I should call xxx as I haven't talked them in a while" might unexpectedly turn into "I wish I had talked to them when I thought of it."

Thx for the start even through this tough time.

I called him recently, after we'd gone many months communicating by email. It was a great, and very typical, hour and a half rambling conversation of the sort we generally had.

At least I'm spared that particular regret.

Don't know why I was up so early. But I really wasn't "up", maybe the dog's claws skittering on the kitchen hardwoods, he likely got too close to one of the cats.
But I went back to sleep, so I could abuse the Snooze button for a half hour.
After work I will spoon on a couple of semi- knobbies to replace my rather worn Battleaxes, they lasted about 15k miles. Larry put them on for me when I came through Tucson, coming home from Kalifornia, and Kerry will help me with his NoMar machine, which I've used several times.
Was never impressed or even comfortable with these tires on the street, after the rear stepped out on me at the most unexpected times while cornering.
My second cup is a good as the first, but I'm burning daylight and the office calls. Why in the blue-eyed heavens am I not retired retired yet!!
Don't bother answering, that was a rhetorical question, and I already know the answer. I only have to look in the mirror -- it's HIS damn fault!
Still, and all, life is GOOD, and it can always get worse. So don't let it.

Good morning, all. Keith, I wish I had words or could do something to take away some of the grief, but of course I don't and can't. All I can do is send condolences, love and strength to you and yours in this sad and shocking time. And though I'm not close enough to give you a 'real' hug, you know I'm sending you a huge one. I'm so very sorry.

Sunshine today, -5°C/23°F to 7°C/45°F. There's another dressing change on the agenda, and then mostly rest, I think; I got almost no sleep, as I was severely sick all night. I have no idea why, really, but I suspect it might have been a reaction to the heavy-duty pain meds. So I'll be giving those a rest for a bit and hope that the pain of the wound, although very much still there, has subsided enough that I won't wind up in agony again over the next couple of days. Sure am looking forward to the day when this is healed.

Everyone stay safe, go safely and yes, tell your dear ones you love them.

Patty

Morning , Condolences Keith and Uncle Phil for your loss of Loved ones, the news has me in tears.
Was about to post when my power went out, came back on at 9:08 AM. Nap number one for today, I needed the rest. Yesterday's trip to Birch Bay was productive, got one plumbing problem fixed. Still have to figure out where the pipe is and replace it around the sink area. My suspension is it's in the floor, not the wall. Border crossings were easy , and quick, less than five minutes each way . Seems our trade wars haven't effected our freedoms to visit our neighbors and friends.
Partly Cloudy this morning temp 5 C/40 F high of 8 C/47 no wet stuff Forecasted. God bless,GIMG_6644.jpg
