I’ve just made the switch from my trusty ST1100 to my immaculate ST1300. Its a 2002 ABS & Electric windscreen model which brings me to this. The stock windshield isn’t that effective for me,I’m 6 foot exactly & the bike has 25mm bar raisers fitted. I’m guessing this topic has been covered many times in the past so if anyone would like to give there opinion to me,I’d be very grateful indeed as it’s the only fault I can find with this bike. I’m in the UK by the way

Replaced mine with a V Stream from National Cycle . Easy swap out and big improvement in buffeting . bought it from Amazon for $ 143.00 US dollars. Type in windscreen for Honda ST 1300 in Amazon.

I'd second the V-Stream windshield. I have that on my '03 ST, and I've found it to be very effective at clearing a hold without making a bunch of turbulence.

There is no 'best' windshield, any more than there is a best oil, battery, or tire for your bike. What works for you will be the 'best'. That said, I am happy with my Calsci windshield, though I would expect shipping from this side of the pond will break the bank. Calsci has a very informative website and they make their windshields in several heights to accommodate short and tall riders. Once you get a list of brands, you can search for them on this website and read various members' opinions of them. These will be subjective; I don't know of any definitive wind tunnel testing.

Rocky, don't know if you know, but Dave Silvers does taller after market screens. The laminar lips seem to get good reviews elsewhere too.

I had a 2005 for 14 years, with a V Stream windshield, and it was almost perfect for me. After I wadded that bike up I went to an R1200RT. Nice bike but I missed the ST so last fall I picked up a 2008. This one has the Honda Air deflectors. I think that's what they are anyway. It has the same V Stream I had before so I assumed (yes, I know about that word) that at least I knew what I was getting. The amount of airflow behind the screen and fairing is considerably more than I want. Are the deflectors changing things that much? Anyone else notice this with the deflectors, and if so, what did you do about it, if anything. Any suggestions as to a fix?

Following recommendations on this site I purchased a V-Stream for my 1300 Pan some years ago. It was useless! My vote for the "best windscreen" is the standard screen plus Saeng ant-swirl edging.
