I was surprised to learn that there are BMW sponsored events where wearing BMW motorcycle suits is mandatory in order to participate. If you don't have it you can not ride in the event.

To be fair what most are wearing is a long sleeve t-shirt in BMW colours and logo, could it be that the event had a registration fee and part of the swag was this shirt?
