Adjusting one headlight up and down - Need Help!

My left headlight shines lower than the right one. I've triple-checked the seating of each bulb and even checked the left-right adjustment (white adjustment knobs). My beam adjustment motor is not working but everything I've read says that this adjustment will affect BOTH lights.

Is there a way to adjust the beam of only one light up and down? Are both beams supposed to point at same spot or do they point at different heights?

If this is an st1300 then that's correct there is one up/down adjustment.
If the electric adjustment is not working maybe something is misaligned internally.

That may have been intentional to give you better visibility to the right without blinding oncoming traffic.

Although come to think of it. they'd have mentioned that in the service manual because the alignment height would be different.

upper two apply/work with motor... maybe adjust range ... can't tell you how as I've never touched them.

The white knobs are easy to get at, the other will take a tight squeeze from bottom angle (sort of like putting in the bulb..easy by feel once you know how)

BTW, originally I thought the white knobs were for verticle... turned and turned...messed them all up, took me 1/2 hour to get them back as I didn't count turns.

Is that mentioned in the svc manual? I only remember the one vert adjustment mentioned and its oriented differently than in your picture? The grey metal one in the center is pointed in a more downward direction on mine???

Yes, I believe the manual shows one adjustment for verticle off the motor assemby..I assume thats to keep them both alignment and move at same time. It doesn't apply to the indiv turn bolts...
