A very cool memory!!!

Never been a Harley fan, but I'll say those bikes are actually pretty.
Same here. Harleys aint hondas!! But, when they go by, we witness a piece of american history. I saw a harley funeral years ago and there were hundreds of riders on harleys seeing a guy off. The fumes forced me to leave.
Harley has never been my ride to be.

Brother in law let me ride his police Harley, comfortable seating position, but bike felt like a two wheeled tractor to me. I will stick to my Honda thank you.

Thats what i get for looking on my phone. :mad-2x:
Not to bad mouth tractors but Harley Ferguson comes to mind and at least the tractor has a three point hitch for implements.

Years ago, the Brevard County Sheriff's Dept (FL space coast) rode ST1300s. I was filling my ST1300 up one morning and an officer pulled in next to me. We smiled and commented on each others bike - then out of the blue he asks if I use the toaster. I wasn't sure I heard him correctly so asked him to repeat then stated I wasn't sure what he was asking. He informed me if you put a pack of poptarts in the compartment below the dash, they will be perfectly toasted in about 30 minutes of riding.

I never used that description, but it is very accurate. On long distance rides I often put different pre-packaged foods (pop-tarts, burritos and such) in the right-hand fairing pocket of the ST-1300 to warm them up, the left pocket doesn't get very warm and is used for a bottle holder.

It was always a rush to see a pack of Boston cops running red lights!

I knew a motor Sgt. who took his crew (13 motors) to Alice's Restaurant a few times on training days. H-Ds were the Dept. issue. The pipes were factory unmodified but that didn't do much to preserve the tranquility of the area. If you could call the whole area of screaming sport bikes tranquil.

To keep the group tight they rolled together whether a light turned red or through a STOP sign. One old guy took umbrage at them rolling through a STOP at Alice's after the lead puppy pronounced it clear. The old guy made a complaint but was advised that it was allowed by the CVC.
