A new era... sort of

My wife decided she likely won't be riding her Honda Metropolitan much if at all any more. So it was put up for sale yesterday and today it was sold to a college student. Her parents paid for it for her. The good thing is that now there is a little more space in the garage and one less vehicle to prep for winter storage. It was a 2003 model that we bought with 212 miles on the clock in 2005 but in pristine condition with all the options that were available for that model. She says it is bittersweet. On one hand she doesn't have it any more. On the other hand she wasn't really using it anyway. Actually the buyers have paid for it already but it's still in my garage waiting for them to return later with a pickup truck to transport it.

Now, to get the JD riding mower sold.

In late 2021 my wife decided she wanted a red convertible and went out and ordered a 2022 Mustang Eco Boost convertible in Fire Red. Came in late in February and she drove it home with the top down. Always been garaged, with a cover on it from Nov 1 to April 1. Never driven in the rain.

She sold it yesterday after 3 years and 8,000 miles. She said she's been thinking about selling it for awhile. As it turns out, it wasn't what she really wanted, and wasn't that much fun to drive. She says my Camry is a lot more fun to drive. I think she has put about 14,000 of the 15,000 miles on it.

She kept her Yamha X-Max 300 scooter though, and it's kind of a convertible lol, only it's silver.

Sometimes women can be as fickle as men lol.

I think as we get older, we realize we need less ‘stuff’. I’m keeping what I currently have- the SWing was originally for the Mrs, but then she changed her mind and hasn’t been on it at all. I use it regularly though (was on a 100 mile ride today with it). She prefers not to be a pillion (she’s not old but I guess she is getting concerned about injury potential). I don’t want to face the day I have to part with the STs or the SWing.
